About This Game

You are standing all alone on a planet. Within 30 seconds you will be bombarded by enemies from a rival corporation and from the planet itself... What do you do?

Polydangerous is a sci-fi tower defense game with the relentless action and upgrade depth of a bullet heaven. Build the base that you think will get you to your next shift, or die trying.

You are a contractor who died while on duty. The company saved you by transferring your consciousness into their capital ship's mainframe. But now you owe them 1.7 million credits if you ever want to get a real body back. 

FAST-PACED and DEEP BASE-BUILDING

• Polydangerous pushes you to find creative solutions to a base that can withstand not only the enemy corporation - FERROX DYNAMICS - but also the strange creatures that inhabit the planet.

• An extremely deep building and tech upgrade tree. Build walls, place turrets, telsa coils, mortars, cryo spray machines, and more. Pop down decoys to lure enemies away. Try to make it to the next shift and do not let the core get destroyed!

A "BROKEN BUILD SANDBOX"

• 6 sprawling skill trees: Combat, Defense, Tech, Economy, Blood Pact, Corruption. Each one is deep - dangerously deep with enough theorycrafting to give this developer gray hairs trying to balance and test it.

• Pierce enemies. Explode bullets. Chain lightning. Call orbital strikes. Become a space vampire. Find a warhammer and face the horde literally. There are unimaginably large possibilities for how to play this game. 

24-SHIFT CAMPAIGN WITH A ROGUELITE CORE 

• A structured campaign across 24 shifts, each one harder than the last. Buildings, weapons, and enemies unlock progressively - no two runs play the same.

• 30+ randomized shift events twist every run: lava channels flood the arena, Ferrox Corporation sabotages your systems, seismic tremors crack the ground, or the planet decides to be extra hostile today.

• Star ratings grade your performance. Chase gold stars or just survive - your call, contractor! 

UNLOCKS GALORE 

• 16 unique shells (character bodies) across 5 rarity tiers with wildly different playstyles and starting loadouts.

• Cheap shells keep you profitable. Expensive shells keep you alive. Experimental shells let you be a guinea pig.

A DIVERSE AND DANGEROUS WEAPON SYSTEM 

• 16 ranged weapons from assault rifles to railguns to ricochet discs. 5 melee weapons with lifesteal, stagger, and cooldown abilities. Each weapon has a unique identity and counter-play niche.

• Always be making trade-offs in this strategic tower defense game. You can't rely on your character alobe! Cooldown ultimates on heavy weapons: charge a railgun beam, salvo rockets, flash-freeze everything in range, or call down an orbital strike.

METAPROGRESSION 

• Spend credits at the Requisitions Bay between shifts. Metaprogression that gives you new options without handing you auto-wins.

• 7 safe upgrades for comfort and productivity. 8 dangerous ones for those who gamble with their sanity.

• Disable all Doctrines for bonus earnings. We call it Asceticism around here, contractor.

FACE OFF AGAINST THE HORDE 

• Ferrox Dynamics sends riflemen, snipers, grenadiers, heavies, and shielded squads. Corporate, tactical, relentless. They target your structures.

• Weird creatures swarm from the rocks you disturbed: grunts, sprinters, tanks, vipers, phasers, and hive swarms. The planet doesn’t like you much.

• Lava creatures emerge from the cracks. Environmental hazards reshape the arena mid-fight. Bosses force you to rethink everything...

• A new seeded challenge every day with unique modifiers and build constraints. Compete for the best score on the global leaderboard! 

• See how your time on each level of the main campaign stacks up against other players globally. Try to beat your best score. 

• Seeded runs let you share and replay specific configurations. Hall of Fame tracks daily champions.

• Beat the game and clear your debt? Congratulations, you’re free. But freedom is boring when you've got glory down there on the planet, waiting for you to come back. 

• Helldangerous mode offers an endless gameplay mode where everything scales forever. Every wave hits harder, spawns faster, and demands more from your build. Wave 100 is waiting!
