Cute Contra is a cute hand-drawn side-scrolling shooter inspired by the classic Contra, with all characters and scenes independently hand-drawn by the developer. While retaining the classic shooting thrill, it offers a relaxed and surprising experience with soft, healing visuals and innovative collection-exchange mechanics.

Players will traverse 7 distinct levels, collecting three core items—butterflies, coins, and music notes—through combat and exploration, and interact with three unique NPCs:

• Trade butterflies with the spirit Bai Wuchang for extra lives, getting a second chance in critical moments.

• Spend coins to start a 20-second shooting mini-game, shooting down floating treasures to win powerful bullets and massive gold.

• Collect music notes to let the singing child heal you continuously with a song when your HP is low, greatly boosting your survivability.

Each level features unique traps and combat rhythm, paired with fully hand-drawn cute characters and scenes, turning the journey into a healing adventure full of surprises, not just a challenge. Whether you're a veteran who loves classic shooters or a new player seeking a casual experience, you'll find your fun in Cute Contra.
