Miksi Early Access?

Floaty Farm was originally envisioned as a community-driven experience with frequent content updates, strong community participation (especially from artists), and cosmetic trading through the Steam Community Market.

Building the online infrastructure (servers, cross-platform support, and live content delivery) takes significant time and resources. Early Access allows me to release a polished offline version first, gather feedback, and gauge player interest in Floaty Farm while continuing development.

Player feedback will directly shape future updates.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

My goal is to reach 1.0 once the core gameplay loop is fully polished and the planned content expansions are in place.

This would take roughly three months after Early Access release.

I plan to include new content such as decorations, new pets, introduce Mutant pets, introduce more mechanics to obtain decorations and more ways to obtain Gems.

Based on player feedback and ideas, I'm planning to decide if the game would remain as a single purchase offline game, go to free-to-play with constant updates and Steam Community Market integration, or even have two versions of the game.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The Early Access version already includes the core gameplay mechanics and a solid amount of customization and pets. Content variety will continue to grow through updates, and balance/polish improvements will be guided by community feedback.

If Floaty Farm remains a paid offline game, the price is planned to remain the same.

If the project ever transitions to a free-to-play model in the future, I intend to thank Early Access supporters with an in-game reward (such as one or more exclusive cosmetic items).

Community involvement is a core part of Floaty Farm’s identity, especially for showcasing artists. All items display the contributing artist’s name, and the music panel credits the musicians behind the soundtrack.

I plan to keep gathering feedback through Steam discussions and updates, and expand community-driven content as development progresses.
