About This Game

About

Duck the Miner is a 2D mining game where you control a duck. Your ultimate goal was to achieve the dream of living on Mars, but the journey didn't go as planned. After a rough ride that left your engine destroyed, you are now stranded on space and must mine asteroids to repair your ship and finish the voyage.

Story

In the near future, humanity’s abuse of Earth led to its downfall, leaving only a few species of animals struggling to survive. Together, they developed new ways to live, gradually gaining consciousness and rebuilding a new Earth inspired by the ruins of the previous civilization.

Eons have passed, and a brave company known as Fyction Enterprise is now pioneering new ways to inhabit other planet. The time has come for our hero, the first astronaut of the animal species, to embark on a mission to live on Mars.

But the journey was not a smooth one. Halfway through the mission, the reactor suffered a critical malfunction, leading to a total disaster. The spaceship, out of control and far off course, drifted into space, eventually colliding and stopping at the Asteroid Belt.

Gameplay

You drift back to consciousness only to find your ship in ruins. Surrounded by twisted metal and flickering lights, you must repair every failing system to restore communications and decide your fate: return home or push onward to Mars. The surrounding asteroids are your only hope, rich with resources, that can be extracted and processed into the advanced equipment and parts needed to try to get saved.
