IRON CHOIR: Starless Pilgrimage is a dark fantasy soulslike RPG where you awaken bound inside cursed armor forged from sacrificed souls. Hear the voices within as you fight through a dying kingdom beneath the Gloamveil and face the truth waiting at the end of the pilgrimage.

Combat & Gameplay

Fast-paced yet methodical third-person action combat inspired by soulslike mechanics. Players lock onto enemies and engage in close-range melee combat using light and heavy attacks, fluid combos and special abilities. Combat focuses on dodging, rolling, blocking and parrying enemy strikes while carefully managing stamina and positioning. By chaining attacks together, players can stagger and break enemy defenses, creating openings for powerful finishing blows. Weapon skills, bow and magic abilities are unlocked throughout progression, allowing for varied playstyles. The world is filled with dangerous enemies and boss battles that test skill and focus. Combat rewards skillful play rather than button mashing.

Progression & Customization

Throughout the journey, players equip a variety of weapons, relics, and runes that modify combat style and abilities. Gear can be upgraded through crafting, while new skills and powerful combat abilities are unlocked through progression. Rare upgrades and powerful items are hidden across the world, encouraging exploration and experimentation to strengthen the champion.

The game features a dark fantasy world filled with villages, towering cathedrals, ancient fortresses, mines, caves, forgotten ruins and hidden dungeons. Players uncover shortcuts, secret doors and optional areas that reward careful exploration. Environmental storytelling reveals the tragic history of Varrengard and the repeating cycle of invasion and sacrifice as the pilgrimage unfolds.

Story

In the realm of Varrengard, the world does not end. It repeats.

Every 100 years, the Starless Doors open at Harrowgate Moors, unleashing the Voidborn Host into the land. With their arrival comes the Gloamveil, a living fog that smothers the sun, corrupts the faithful, and turns kingdoms into graves.

To fight the cycle, Varrengard commits an unforgivable ritual:

Every 10 years, one volunteer is chosen.
A soul offered to steel.
A sacrifice to create a weapon that can suffer forever.

You awaken as the Oathbound Champion, trapped inside a suit of armor forged by the mythic smith Thyron Anvilsaint. The armor cannot be removed and it is not empty.

Inside you, an Iron Choir speaks. Prayers. Screams. Rage. Memories. Some souls beg for peace. Others demand vengeance. Their voices react to the world around you… and to every choice you make.

Follow a grim pilgrimage across ruined villages, drowned mines, cursed fortresses, and sacred cathedrals, while a priest who revived you walks his own final journey to discover whether his daughter still lives.

But at the end of the road… the truth is waiting.

And the final enemy is not a monster.
