Why Early Access?

“Operation NUMA is a complex physics-based simulation built by a single developer. As soon as the core driving and building mechanics are established, i would like to start an Early Access of this game, since a sandbox of this scale thrives on player creativity and feedback. Early Access allows me to tune the heavy vehicle physics, balance the resource economy, and shape the expansion of the game world directly alongside the community. I want to build the ultimate Mars simulation, and I need your help to get the "feel" just right.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I estimate the game will be in Early Access for approximately 18 months. However, as a solo studio, quality comes first. I will only leave Early Access when the game feels complete, polished, and fully optimized.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to feature a much larger explorable world with distinct biomes and more treacherous terrain. I plan to add:
- A complete narrative conclusion to the game's mystery.
- Advanced upgrades and distinct configurations for the truck.
- Expanded base-building modules and automation tiers.
- More dynamic weather events and environmental hazards.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version offers a fully playable gameplay loop. You can pilot the heavy offroad truck, master the physics system, haul resources, and upgrade your vehicle. The central base building system is functional, allowing you to expand your outpost. The first major region of the map is open for exploration, complete with dynamic time-of-day and weather systems.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will likely increase moderately upon full release to reflect the added content and features. Early supporters get the game at a lower price as a thank you for helping shape the development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I view the community as my co-pilots. I am active on the official Discord and Steam forums to gather feedback, discuss mechanics, and track bugs. I want to know which terrain is too frustrating, which upgrades are most fun, and what features you prioritize. Your feedback will directly influence the development roadmap of Operation NUMA.”
