Sitting atop a hillock overlooking the fluttering pennants of Castle Coldwind, you can now take pride in the succession of castles you've strung across the once dangerous wilds of Albion. Your thoughts can finally turn to those long-delayed plans of pleasantly siring a string of successors for your kingdom. Sounds idyllic.. right?

The Picts are rebelling against you in the northern wilds, and their armies are even more formidable than the Celts ever were!

The Northern Campaign, Castles Campaign Disk No. 1 brings a whole new campaign to your computer along with many new features designed to expand the scope of Castles.

The Northern Campaign comes with:

- A new campaign with more and bigger plotlines

- New graphics - new messenger screens to deal with

- Economies - you now have the options to buy and sell grain and other commodities

- New combat features - Vikings, enemy archers, enemy wave attacks, reserves.

- Troop training - you can now increase your military efficiency by training your troops.
