In Asylum of Evil, the player takes on the role of Daniel Moura, an experienced private investigator known for solving complex cases. Set in the present day, the game begins with the mysterious disappearance of Isabela Fontes, a young psychology student who had been researching paranormal phenomena in historical locations. Her last known contact was a confused and desperate message, mentioning a place called Arcanum Manor.

Daniel's investigation leads him to this isolated mansion on the outskirts of the city — a former psychiatric asylum shut down in the 1970s after a series of scandals involving inhumane treatments and the disappearance of patients. However, upon arriving, he realizes the manor is not as abandoned as people say.

Exploring the location with only his flashlight, Daniel begins to uncover disturbing records, hear voices whispering through the halls, and feel the presence of entities watching his every move. As the clues start to piece together, he discovers that mind-control experiments were once conducted there — and that Isabela may have been lured in by something far more sinister than simple academic curiosity.

The player must face challenging puzzles and supernatural entities while trying to find Isabela and escape with their life. Asylum of Evil is a narrative-driven investigative horror game that blends psychological terror with survival horror elements, pushing the player to question what is real — and what has been planted in the protagonist’s mind.
