You are the Meatman - a golem of pure form and purpose. Deposited into a labyrinth of flesh and metal, you see things others won't believe, experience horrors beyond ordinary comprehension, and witness impossibilities that drive lesser men mad. A GOREPUNK NIGHTMARE

Goreagulation is a stylistic total conversion for Half-Life 2, offering a horrifying look at an alternate version of that world. Deep below the Earth, a mad god reigns, and you, Its finest creation, are the only hope left. Over four distinct levels, and as you ascend the increasingly fleshy facility you were born into, you'll discover hints and clues about your true purpose and the true meaning of your existence. Twisted facsimiles of the Combine - now, the Gorebine - haunt these halls, and are armed with organic weapon you'll take for yourself. At the top of this Spire lies a showdown - and a choice to be better, or fulfil your destiny.

Everything old is new (and fleshy) again - six weapons, reborn as organic variants of Half-Life 2's weaponry, make up your arsenal; the Bonebar, Fleshmg, Fleshette Launcher, Meatspinner, Gorenade, and Crossbone. Many original assets sell this hellish vision, with a gorey aesthetic that isn't for the faint of heart.

Goreagulation is built on Mapbase, inheriting many improvements and enabling minor gameplay additions such as Gorebine Elites armed with Crossbones, and enemies with Fleshmgs capable of launching grenades in your direction.

THE SECOND COMING

Goreagulation was released in 2022 on ModDB; this version on Steam is an enhanced edition of that release. This version features an improved art pass in all maps, four new super secrets (one per map) that fill out the lore of this world, additional details like first-time pickup animations for each weapon, grenade cooking, improved hotkey support, and seven achievements to encourage you to play and replay the contents on offer. Much, much more was improved across the board, for those who experienced the nightmare in 2022 and wish to revisit it again!
