Story

Many things in this world can only be described as unnatural, anomalous occurrences that haunt those in the vicinity... however, sometimes those entities might have demonic origins. You are a retiring employee of a secret medicinal shell company that was promised a big payday after one last job: Enter The Doorframe, record the manufactured dreamscapes within, then leave. Seems simple enough right? After all, nobody truly knows how this mysterious and supernatural doorframe came about, but everything seems to be under control. The company has never steered you wrong before, and every other job has been relatively safe, so it's practically harmless...

Gameplay

This is a puzzle focused survival horror game that pits both your physical and mental capabilities against evil demonic forces that exist only within a familiar but warped dreamscape. Everything starts off slightly normal, but slowly descends into complete inexplicable madness. The more you progress through the dreams, the more it becomes a true nightmare. You are not alone. You will have to find/scavenge whatever you can within the dreamscape in order to fight and handle anything that comes your way, otherwise escape is but a fleeting despair filled nightmare, and the only thing waiting for you is death. You are not the first to be lost within these nightmares, so as well as duplicated notes from the real world, you may come across notes left from those who came before you. They will be a great asset to your escape.

Quest Structure

Missions and Objectives are mostly linear, however there are occasions where you can complete them in any order you want. While the main path is linear, there are side rooms and puzzles you can complete to obtain extra hidden items (including weapons) as well as secret notes. Some are hidden by backtracking and returning to a previous area with a new piece of equipment.

Features

• 3 Modes: Story, Ascent, Endless. (Ascent is reach the top climbing, and Endless is time based survival).

• Weapon System that allows you to carry all your weapons on your person, and swap between them at will.

• Inventory System that lets you read info on items as well as Inspect them (rotate using KB, M, or Analog Stick).

• Modifiable Stats: You may come across items that increase player stats like Max Health, Chunks etc.

• Main Quest as well as Side Quests that can be completed for bonus firepower or upgrades.

• Saving/Loading using a Cozy SaveRoom and/or a scattered bed in the level, or by level transitioning.

• Puzzles involving Doorframes (Portals), Switches, Etched Symbols, Destructible boxes/glass.

• Destructible Objects are some objects that be hit and affected by your weapons in someway (falling, destroying).

• Enemies: There is multiple different types of enemies you can come across, including poor lost souls as well as bosses.
