Build your legion and military camp, providing your legionnaires with everything they need. Find friends of Rome through diplomacy or seize resources and turn your enemies into slaves. You will immerse yourself in a harsh Roman world where there is no place for the weak.

The Empire is an ever-hungry beast. Its greatness is built upon the bones of conquered tribes, and its heart beats only as long as the legions bring gold and thousands of new slaves back to the capital. Slave labor is the fuel of the Roman economy, and expansion is the only path to survival.
The Emperor does not forgive weakness. He has entrusted you with the command of a legion and sent you to the edge of the known world. You are his will, his punishing sword, and his architect. Your task is clear: conquer the wild lands, secure a steady flow of resources, and establish the law of Rome where chaos once reigned. In this wilderness, only your legion’s discipline stands between the Empire’s triumph and its total collapse.

In the untamed lands, the legion is the only thing standing between you and oblivion. You must establish a seamless cycle of military preparation. Recruits arrive green and inexperienced, but they must leave the camp as hardened killers. The camp is both your fortress and your factory: here, rations are produced, armor is repaired, and the army prepares for the next march.
Managing such a machine requires absolute control. Rely on your Centurions—they will oversee training efficiency and the soldiers' daily lives. You must plan schedules with precision: while one century stands guard, another builds fortifications, and a third recovers its strength. In a world where the loss of a single veteran is a catastrophe, medicine becomes a strategic resource. Return the wounded to the front lines, or watch your legion dissolve into a crowd of the doomed.

The legion brings war, but it also brings order. A field camp quickly attracts a civilian settlement—the forge of a conquered region’s economy. Trade with passing caravans and local production transform yesterday’s wasteland into a province of the Empire.
You must manage this symbiosis. As your soldiers spend their coin in local taverns and lupanars, the settlement grows. Increase its population with enslaved tribes to squeeze every drop of productivity from the land. Remember: when the trumpet calls the legion to new frontiers, this city will remain your outpost. You are not just seizing land—you are forging Rome for centuries to come.

Before you lie vast, untouched lands, hiding both immeasurable riches and the ancient ruins of forgotten eras. Send scouts into the unknown to find valuable resources and points of interest. But remember: you are not alone. Dozens of tribes watch your every move.
Will you be a wise patron, aiding merchants and protecting the weak, or will you move through their lands with fire and sword, enslaving the survivors? The choice is yours, but every action has a price. Tribes communicate; your cruelty may unite them into a single fist against the legion. And while you deal with the locals, the cold breath of Germanic and Hunnic hordes nears from the north and east. Their raids are a force of nature that is almost impossible to withstand.

When all arguments are exhausted, the legions take the field. But victory is not granted—it is forged long before the first clash. Through optimized supply chains and the forges of your camp, your soldiers will be equipped with the finest gear. Constant drills will turn recruits into an elite force whose skills are second nature.
Form specialized units for any task, from the crushing advance of heavy Praetorians to the swift strikes of light Velites. On the battlefield, your command mastery is more important than the enemy's numbers. Timely maneuvers and the strategic use of different troop types will allow you to crush massive barbarian armies, carrying the will of Rome into the very heart of hostile territory.
