The Cold is Absolute. The Cave is Waiting.

You are entirely alone in a freezing, desolate landscape. Your only sanctuary is a fragile cabin in the snow. Just outside lies a mysterious, dark cave filled with ice. Break The Ice is a dark fantasy mining survival game with roguelite elements, rendered in atmospheric retro pixel art. Will you conquer the frozen depths, or will you become another frozen statue in the dark?

Delve into the Frozen Depths
Step into the cavern and begin your expedition. Break through solid ice to unearth valuable resources like iron ore, coal, rare diamonds. But time is not on your side. Your Freeze Meter is constantly rising. If it reaches 100%, you succumb to the cold, losing your progress and returning empty-handed to your cabin.

Survive Unpredictable Hazards
The cave does not want you there. There will be deadly events that will test your reflexes and strategy:

• Floods: Escape rising water levels before you drown.

• Stone Golems: Outrun relentless hunters awakened by your mining.

• Falling Rocks: Watch the ceiling and dodge crushing debris.

• Lightning Orbs: Avoid hostile, wandering spheres of pure, chaotic energy.

Keep the Cabin Warm (Permadeath System)

Your cabin is your lifeline. Failing an expedition doesn't just cost you loot—it drops the temperature of your cabin. If the cabin's temperature drops to 0, the fire dies, and your game is over. Every run matters.

Craft, Upgrade, and Trade Surviving the cold requires the right tools. Use the loot you extract to:

• Sell for Coin: Burn specific resources in your furnace to earn money.

• Upgrade Gear: Spend your hard-earned coins to improve your pickaxe and equipment.

• Craft: Hoard rare materials to forge better tools and items that will help you push further into the abyss.
