Story Introduction

You, a soul, awaken unexpectedly on the eve of a coup, trapped within the mind of the talented scholar-official Shangguan Wan’er.

Faced with the ambitions and dilemmas of Wu Zetian, Empress Wei, Princess Taiping, and Princess Anle, as well as unknown dangers, you must coexist and conspire with Wan’er.

Here, there is no absolute good or evil—only the intricate game of power and human nature. Every choice you make will determine the relationships and fates of these five legendary women: Will you become mentor or friend, foe or ally? Will you share a tragic end, or rewrite the final chapter of the “Era of Women in Power”?

Wu Zhao

“If the iron whip fails, use the wooden club; if the club fails, use the dagger.”

The only female sovereign in Chinese history. Though her body ages and weakens, the sharpness of her mind and the height of her spirit have become immortal.

Li Lingyue (Princess Taiping)

“Under heaven, there is only one Princess Taiping—her father an emperor, her mother an emperor—unmatched in nobility and power.”

A princess who never found peace in life. The woman closest to becoming the next empress-regnant, yet she died one step away from the throne.

Shangguan Wan’er

“A giant holding scales, weighing the world.”

The “Palace Chancellor” who bridged court and inner palace. Forcing oneself to stitch together the joys and sorrows of this era only ends in being torn apart.

Wei Lian’er (Empress Wei)

Script: Approximately 100,000 words of main storyline, 100,000 words of non-repeating exploration content, over ten multidimensional female characters, and seven distinct endings.

Gameplay Features

Unrestricted Choices: No mandatory systems; you may passively observe, lighten the mood as a jester, or act as Shangguan Wan’er’s chief advisor.

Immersive Exploration: Review secret letters to uncover factional schemes, assist Shangguan with political duties to enact change, interact with characters across social strata to feel the pulse of the era, and deepen bonds with key figures to gain political capital.

Simulated Checks: While many actions are possible, the world follows its own rules. Not every choice yields the desired outcome—99% effort may still require 1% luck. Yet, occasional failures won’t dictate your future.

Historic Endings: “History cannot be changed, but countless possible histories have already occurred.” Perhaps they will not die; perhaps hope remains. Perhaps you are the catalyst that reshapes the chaos.
