THE LONG WAY DOWN is a first-person digging action game where you carve your own tunnels in real time, mine valuable minerals, find unique items, and sell your finds to fund upgrades. Drill for oil, refine it into fuel, and keep pushing deeper. The deeper you go, the more demons you have to fight.

THE LONG WAY DOWN is a first-person digging game where you carve your own tunnels in real time, mine valuable minerals, and sell what you extract to fund upgrades. Drill for oil, refine it into fuel, and keep pushing deeper - because demons live below, and they will try to stop you. Along the way, uncover unique finds like fossils and buried treasures.

CORE GAMEPLAY

  • Dig anywhere: carve tunnels and chambers to create your own route downward.

  • Mine and sell: extract valuable minerals and sell them to earn money for upgrades.

  • Drill for oil and refine fuel: drill into oil pockets and refine it into fuel to keep your operation running.

  • Upgrade your rig: improve drilling, speed, efficiency and others so you can reach deeper layers and survive what you find there.

  • Fight to keep going: the deeper you go, the more demons and other threats you will face.

EXTRA DISCOVERIES

  • Unique items: find rare one-off collectibles such as fossils, treasures, and other unusual artifacts hidden in the ground.

WHAT YOU DO MOMENT-TO-MOMENT

  • Drill and explore to find minerals, oil, and unique items.

  • Return with your haul: sell minerals and refine oil into fuel.

  • Spend money on upgrades.

  • Push deeper, find more valuable minerals and fight demons to keep going.

GOAL

  • Complete the mission by drilling all the way through the Earth and come out the other side in China.
