Miksi Early Access?

We chose to release the game in Early Access to develop it in close collaboration with the community. As a solo indie project, player feedback is essential to improve the overall experience, refine gameplay mechanics, and guide future development.

Our goal is to build a stronger and more engaging game by incorporating player feedback and suggestions throughout the development process.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

We expect the game to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 months to 1 year. This timeframe may evolve depending on player feedback and the pace of development.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

The current version already includes the core gameplay systems and offers a playable experience.

We plan to improve and expand the game throughout development, including:

Visual and graphical improvements
Story development and narrative additions
Additional content and gameplay adjustments
Optimizations and bug fixes based on player feedback

Our goal is to deliver a more complete, polished, and immersive final version.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The game is currently playable and offers an initial functional version of its core systems.

In its current state, players can:

Participate in turn-based arena battles to earn gold
Use the combined magic system with the 4 elements to create spells
Manage and develop a party of adventurers (training, stat improvements, and class evolution)
Play a first narrative mission with choices and consequences

The core systems for combat, progression, and management are already in place and fully playable.

However, some elements are still in development, including:

The recruitment of new adventurers
The addition of new missions and narrative content
Overall content expansion and balancing

The game will continue to be actively developed and expanded throughout Early Access.

Not all features described in the “About This Game” section are currently implemented.

We plan to increase the price after Early Access as more content and features are added.

The community plays a central role in the development of the game.

Players can share feedback, suggestions, and ideas through the official Discord server as well as during live streaming sessions. These interactions help continuously improve the game and guide development decisions.

We closely monitor player feedback to adjust and enhance the experience with each update.

Rise of the Insurged

Rise of the Insurged is a dark medieval-fantasy strategy and management game that blends recruitment, team progression, turn-based battles, and choice-driven narrative missions.

You play as a former slave willing to do anything to take revenge on the Queen. To overthrow the kingdom’s rule, you must build your own company of adventurers, forge alliances, gather resources… and survive irreversible decisions.

Manage your Adventurer Company

Recruit mercenaries and shape a squad that fits your playstyle:

Character training and progression
Stat growth: Strength, Dexterity, Wisdom
Risk management: every adventurer matters… and can be lost

⚔️ Permanent death: if an adventurer dies in a mission or in the arena, they are gone forever.

Three Complementary Game Modes

Each mode supports your growth and your rebellion.

1) Arena — Turn-Based Combat
Fight opponents to earn gold and strengthen your company.

2) Magical Duel — Turn-Based Elemental Battles
Craft your spells by combining the four elements:

Example: Fire + Water = Steam (and many more!)
Adapt your combinations to counter enemies and optimize your tactics.

3) Missions — Interactive Narrative + Combat
A Visual Novel-inspired mode featuring:

Dialogues, scenes, decisions, and battles
Your choices impact the story and future events
Every mission has a time limit

⏳ A missed or failed mission has consequences: executions, destroyed villages, broken alliances…
If you return later, you will witness the outcome of your absence or failure.

A Rebellion Written in Blood

The further you progress, the more your influence grows:
alliances, resources, a stronger company, political conflicts… until you’re finally ready to challenge the Queen.

In Rise of the Insurged, you don’t play as an invincible hero —
you are a war leader. And every choice leaves a mark.

Generative AI tools were used to create some pre-rendered visual assets, including promotional artwork and certain in-game images. These assets are created in advance and integrated into the game. No AI-generated content is created dynamically during gameplay, and all game systems, mechanics, and code are created manually.
