„VeinLight features experimental mechanics like voice interaction. As a solo developer, I want to see how players react to the microphone mechanics and shape the game together with the community. Early Access is the best way for me to perfect the horror balance and difficulty using player feedback.”

VeinLight is a tense, atmospheric survival roguelite where you are alone against the crushing weight of a daily quota and the encroaching darkness.

🗣️ SCREAM TO SURVIVE

Forget staying silent. In VeinLight, your voice is your lifeline. The darkness in the mines is toxic—staying in the shadows drains your health. If your torch runs out, you have one last defense: Speak, sing, or scream into your microphone. Your voice pushes back the damage of the darkness. Keep talking to stay alive until you find the light!

⛏️ THE DAILY GRIND

You have one job: Fill the quota.

  • Mine & Collect: Gather coal, rare ores, and mushrooms.

  • Manage Time: The clock is ticking. You must fill the plate before nightfall.

  • Upgrade: Sell your loot to the merchant. Buy better pickaxes, lanterns, and potions to dig deeper.

👹 PUNISHMENT AWAITS

Failure is not an option. If you miss your daily quota, the Cave Troll awakens. This massive beast patrols the mines in the evening, hunting down those who didn't work hard enough. It cannot be killed—only escaped.

💀 ROGUELITE MECHANICS

  • Permadeath: If you fall, you lose your inventory and upgrades. You only keep the experience of the days you survived.

  • Risk vs. Reward: Will you dig for one more ore and risk the Troll's arrival, or bank your earnings and play it safe?

  • Luck Graveyard: Test your fate. Double your earnings or lose half of them in a gamble with death.
