Story Background

       Lingyuan is a bizarre existence between realms — legend has it that it connects to the Immortal Domain above and the Underworld below, divided into nine layers, each a separate small world. No one could have imagined that a group of mysterious beings would suddenly appear on the sixth layer. Calling themselves the Turbid Immortals, they are shrouded in deadly demonic qi. Anyone infected by this qi will gradually lose their sanity, eventually going berserk and becoming mindless, destructive monsters. Wherever the Turbid Immortals pass, all becomes a dead zone. Yet they wander this wasteland, seemingly obsessed with searching for something.You play as Ling, a survivor relentlessly hunted by the Turbid Immortals. To escape, you shattered your Golden Body — forged through years of arduous cultivation — and with your master’s help, broke the barriers between layers, barely fleeing the sixth layer’s despair to the fifth layer: the Five Elements Domain.Your master, who stayed to cover your retreat, was separated from you in the chaos. Their final words before parting were a warning and a hope: The Five Elements Domain hides the key to breaking the curse. You must meditate here, master various skills, and learn the ways of the five elements — metal, wood, water, fire, earth — their mutual generation and restraint. Forge a combat style suited to yourself, fend off the cursed, berserk demons, and gradually resolve the curse’s hold on you. Collect the fragments of your Golden Body to rebuild it, overcome the curse’s erosion and the demonic threats left by the Turbid Immortals, and only then can you uncover the source of this demonic qi and the truth behind what the Turbid Immortals seek.Meanwhile, the Turbid Immortals’ corrupt qi has quietly seeped into the Five Elements Domain....
