It has been a year since Tavi's successful rebellion, and he now sits upon the throne as Indra's undisputed king. The former monarch, Yuel, has been deposed, and all of Yuel's former advisors believe him to be dead. Tavi wouldn't be foolish enough to keep such a huge threat to the throne alive, after all...

For all of the bad blood between them, Tavi can't bring himself to have Yuel executed.
