Mono is a 2D action game set in a monochrome world.

You are an autonomous combat AI deployed into this monochrome realm, tasked with resolving the anomaly threatening it. Together with your support AI companion, you must battle formidable enemies and push toward the enemy stronghold to restore peace to this world.

Explore the monochrome world freely and challenge the powerful foes that await you. The protagonist learns through combat encounters with these formidable enemies, acquiring new actions that expand your exploration capabilities.

Combat

  • Utilize melee attacks, ranged attacks, dashes, and slides to maintain optimal distance from your enemies during battle.

  • There are no invincibility actions such as dodging. Victory requires methodical hit-and-run tactics and careful positioning.

  • Damage dealt varies depending on the enemy's state. Experiment with attacking at different timings to discover the most effective moments to strike.

Exploration

  • The world of Mono consists of multiple interconnected areas. Explore this realm to collect hidden items and locate formidable enemies.

  • Consume items obtained through exploration and combat to unlock nodes in the skill tree, which allows you to enhance stats and acquire new abilities.

  • Obtaining new actions expands your explorable areas. Revisiting previously explored locations may yield new discoveries.
