“Much of the content in Shoot Pro Wrestling 2 is procedurally generated and evolves dynamically as the game is played. Therefore, I wish to draw feedback from a larger player base while tweaking and balancing the underlying systems. I also wish to get the opinion of players on what gameplay data should be presented to them to make the experience more enjoyable and immersive.”

“I only intend the game to be in early access for a month or two. Most of the underlying data and mechanics are already present in the game code, but I want to tweak them before they're fully activated in the game.”

“The plan is to fully flesh out the universe of Shoot Pro Wrestling 2 to make it immersive, with Individual wrestlers having specific personalities and traits, and the broader wrestling world evolving dynamically as the game is played.”

“The early access version currently doesn't have all gameplay elements enabled, and some screens have placeholders for extra data to be added.

The current game loop allows you to hire and fire wrestlers (minus complex contract negotiations), hire venues for events, book match cards, and watch the matches simulated in a text-based format.

Currently, only singles matches are included (both male and female). There are no promo mechanics active in the game currently. Likewise, tag teams haven't been activated yet. There are also no TV/PPV mechanics currently in the game, just the running of live events.”

“Yes, there is currently a reduced price for the early access version as I wish to attract a wider player base in order to gather valuable feedback. I also appreciate that the early access version is lacking some essential features that fans of wrestling games expect. Once the game leaves early access, there will be a moderate increase in the price.”

“I invite feedback from the community on what information (stats etc.) they would like to see presented to them in the game. In addition, I'd like them to let me know on which game screens they would like to see this data presented in order to improve the game quality of life and ease any stress points. Community feedback and update news will be centred on the game's Community Hub hosted here on Steam, to ensure that all players have the opportunity to share their thoughts on the future direction of the game.”

Shoot Pro Wrestling 2 puts you in control of your own wrestling federation, in this manager-style wrestling simulation game. Hire the most talented wrestlers and build their popularity as they battle it out in text-based simulated shoot fights in this GM Mode style wrestling game.

Real "shoot" wrestling matches simulated move by move

Unlike traditional "wrestling booker" games where you simply pick the winner of matches, in Shoot Pro Wrestling 2 your wrestlers fend for themselves. Sure, you book who you want in the match, but after that the wrestlers fight it out for real in shoot matches where every move is simulated to decide on the eventual winner.

It's not all about who's the toughest wrestler!

How will you protect the charismatic babyface wrestler who's loved by the fans, but lacks winning skills in the ring?

What about the tough-as-nails wrestler with the unbeaten streak, but the charisma of cardboard? They might deserve a title shot, but do you want to risk having a champion who bores the fans?

The fans matter!

The world of Shoot Pro Wrestling 2 is dynamic, and the fans in different regions and countries will evolve their tastes based on the wrestling they see. Therefore, if you hotshot a region and load your shows with your biggest stars, don't be surprised if those fans are less than happy once you start presenting them with lesser talent again.

Likewise, if other promotions have been giving fans high-tempo matches full of more moves than you can count, don't be surprised when those same fans don't rate your methodical, technical matches very highly.

Given time, the fans may come to accept your style of wrestling. If not, you might be better off focussing on somewhere that your wrestlers are better accepted.

Shoot Pro Wrestling 2 features (not all features implemented in Early Access):

  • Over 1000 randomly generated male and female wrestlers in every game, so that no two players ever have the same experience. You can even add your own custom images to bring your wrestlers to life.

  • Compete against other wrestling promotions around the World to hire the best wrestlers and win the ratings war.

  • Book matches and watch the play-by-play commentary as the wrestlers battle it out in simulated shoot fights.

  • Assemble the best card of wrestling matches to sell tickets to your events and boost your TV ratings or your PLE buy-rates. (TV broadcasts not yet in early access version)

  • Plan feuds and wrestler rivalries to generate a buzz from the crowd and build the popularity of your wrestlers. (Feuds not yet in Early Access version)

  • Push your promising wrestlers against quality opponents to build the popularity of your future superstars of wrestling, while protecting those who are more charm than chops.

  • Book promo spots to increase the buzz of feuds or individual wrestlers.

  • Carefully pick venues, and set ticket prices, to ensure that you're making enough monthly profit to hire the best wrestlers.
