In the year 840, you are one of the last remaining banishers, a dangerous profession devoted to banishing demons, and you specifically specialize in identifying and banishing succubi.

Despite succubus-related deaths gradually declining over the past few years, a sudden spike in victims has been reported in the city of Damaros, the third-largest city in the Kingdom of Iralo, and the city’s lord has requested your services. It is now up to you to weed out the succubi terrorizing the paranoid citizens of Damaros. Some succubi can shapeshift and perfectly imitate their targets, so it is up to you to uncover discrepancies in the stories of those you interrogate.

Each day, you will question a variety of suspects, and it is up to you to use your investigative skills and detective instincts to uncover the succubi among them, as well as any individuals who may be working with them. The fate of Damaros is in your hands. Godspeed, banisher.

In this game, you have complete control over how you conduct your investigation. You can murder suspects who annoy you, accuse them of lying or aiding the succubi, or even declare them a succubus themselves, all without evidence. The city of Damaros has succumbed to paranoia and panic, and its lord has granted you all the authority you need to become either a tyrant or a savior. The path you choose is entirely up to you. You may even choose to side with the succubi and destroy the city for whatever reason you desire, whether due to their temptations or simply because you find it amusing, but be warned: if your schemes are discovered, you will suffer the consequences.
