Why Early Access?

“There are many reasons for us to release Soul Harvest in Early Access :
- Gathering player feedback on the current game experience
- Engage with the community to discuss about new content, like additionnal game modes
- Fixing compatibility problems on different computer specs
- Funding some trips to bigger game events like PAX or Indiecade

Bringing Soul Harvest to Early Access represents a step forward in the development process : we've been working on the game on our free time for the past 3 years, gathering feedback from players during various game related events.
We now wish to confront the game to a standard play experience, on the user's computer and with no developper around to tell you what to do when you're stuck.”

“When it's done !
Soul Harvest is a side project made by two developers who have dayjobs, so the updates can sometimes be quite far apart.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The core gameplay of the game is set and we have a few versus game modes but some key features are missing right now :
- More versus game modes
- More map biomes
- More awesome music tracks by Erik Peabody (Viking Guitar) and Taylor Shechet (GRYPT, EarwormAud.io)
- Some more game balancing
- A solo/coop campaign to learn how to play the various factions
- A faction editor with unlockable content to play with mixed units and spells
- A game mechanics based level editor
- Localization in french and polish”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game currently has :
- A versus mode for up to 4 players
- 4 playable factions (Cruelty, Bitterness, Excess and Transgression)
- 2 versus game modes (Elimination and Citadel)
- 3 map biomes (lava, ash and flesh)
- A faction based AI bot for training
- A simple tutorial
- Campaign levels for the Cruelty faction”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. The Early Access price is set at a value we think is fair but we plan to make discounts when bigger updates are released.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback is very important, especially for strategy games. We want to make the game as easy to learn as possible. So we're very eager to get our player's opinion on the tutorial, campaign mode and the balancing of faction and maps.

We'd also like to build some more versus game modes with the help of the community, to see where our combined dark thoughts can lead us to >:)”

About This Game

SOUL HARVEST is a fast paced local multiplayer strategy game set in the depths of Hell!
Play as archdemons fighting each other in order to claim ownership of regions of the underworld. Using the power of the souls they harvest, the fiends can erect structures made of flesh, summon hellish minions and unleash diabolical magiks to help them defeat their foes.

No advanced RTS skill is required : our goal is to appeal to all players, wether they are die hard strategy gamers or just local multiplayer fans.
The controls are pretty simple : there are only 4 buttons!
You can play with up to 4 players, so gather some friends and gamepads and start the ritual!
