In News Faker, you find yourself in a fictional TV station that’s barely holding together. The equipment dates back to the days of analog television, the studio looks like a basement after a bargain-bin renovation, and the only thing growing faster than the bills is the debt.

Your goal is to drag this ruin to the top of the ratings - even if it means... slightly “enhancing” reality along the way.

Gather footage, cherry-pick convenient facts, bend the rest, and watch your news station slowly transform into a full-blown propaganda factory.

• Decide what goes on air: a proper report or a sensational piece of nonsense that breaks the charts.

• Stitch reports from half-truths, out-of-context quotes and very convenient camera angles.

• Keep an eye on viewers, politicians and watchdogs breathing down your neck.

• Every story is a choice: your station’s reputation or pure, juicy popularity?

• Rework the image of politicians and celebrities so viewers either worship them or hate them on sight.

• Push facial expressions, colors, lighting and captions until a normal interview turns into the meme of the week.

• Build a wall of shame and fame – see who’s today’s hero and who’s the demon of your prime time.

• Upgrade your studio: from a moldy green screen in a basement to a shiny, loud infotainment circus.

• Recruit your crew: decide whether viewers value their skills... or their other assets.

• Unlock new show formats, studio toys, tickers and flashy graphics.
