OVERVIEW

Bag of Dreams is a cozy, card-based roguelite where you draw dream fragments from your bag and place them on your Dream Space; a quiet sanctuary you're building to facilitate your win condition each run. It’s push-your-luck deckbuilding with a dreamy twist: every draw could bring you closer to the perfect night's sleep, or push you closer to endless nightmares. 😱

HOW IT WORKS

Every bag comes with its own win condition, these can be based on specific cards or groups of cards. Cards have effects (granting currently like dust or dream essence, or retriggering other cards) and some cards are nightmares, which forcibly place themselves down and increase your nightmare fuel… collect too much nightmare fuel and your night will end prematurely! 

Every game has two phases; Rounds alternate between drawing and placing fragments, and a shop phase where you spend resources to grow your collection. Dream essence helps you grow your dream space, and dust lets your purchase new fragments for your dream bag. Visit the Lucis Exchange between rounds and spend wisely!💜

Push your luck too far and nightmare fuel starts to accumulate. Terrors and Traumas begin creeping into your bag, threatening to unravel the dream you've worked so hard to build.

Hundreds of fragment synergies, multiple Dream Spaces with unique mechanics, and a risk-based core that rewards bold play and punishes recklessness. No two nights play the same. ✨

Step into the role of the Sandman, armed with a growing selection of dream fragments. This demo introduces the core deckbuilding gameplay loop and multiple playstyles designed to test your dream-weaving skills.

What’s Included in the Demo

• 2 playable characters, including the Sandman and the unlockable character Mara

• 3 playable decks: the Basic Deck, plus the unlockable Pet Deck and Swift Deck

• 4 unlockable difficulty levels, offering increasing challenge and replayability

Each bag has a different win condition, and each come with their own dangers along the way...


In the Lucid Exchange, you can spend Essence to unlock new dream spaces and use Dust to purchase new fragments. You can also re-roll the shop's offerings to seek the perfect card for your bag, but keep in mind that each re-roll costs Dust. 💨🧹


Sadly, not all memories are positive. Play too aggressively and you'll quickly find that the nightmare fuel adds up fast... There's terrors and trauma you'll need to navigate along the way if you want to make that perfect dream! 💤
