【故事簡介】

小鎮上發生了學童離奇失蹤的事件，四名孩子從鎮上憑空消失，當天傍晚鎮公所就接到了求救電話，這通電話從前任領主的湖畔宅邸打來，然而宅邸在距離小鎮步行需要三天路程之外，卻完全沒有任何交通工具前往宅邸的紀錄，四名孩子就像憑空移動到宅邸一般。更令人憂心的是，在十年前，那棟宅邸就傳出了被詛咒籠罩的傳聞，所有前往宅邸的人都離奇死亡……

調查員李奇與助手西兒受邀加入調查失蹤事件、找到孩子們的營救小隊，同行的有小鎮的鎮長、鎮務官、警長與牧師，還有熱衷研究靈異事件的學者、號稱通靈占卜從不失準的靈媒。一行人來到湖畔的宅邸，然而，就在搜查的過程中，營救小隊的成員遇害，宅邸四周都沒有人出入的痕跡，究竟是宅邸的詛咒作祟，還是——兇手就在他們之中？

李奇在嘗試解開宅邸中的重重謎題、救出被帶走的孩子的同時，也逐漸撥開迷霧，得知了埋藏在宅邸厚重陰霾之下，多年前的悲傷往事……

【遊戲介紹】

Scapegoat & Rational融合了懸疑劇情 + 收集關鍵線索推理 + 逃脫式謎題。在觀看故事劇情的同時，玩家可以選擇「關鍵線索收集模式」或「純劇情模式」兩種通關方式。

關鍵線索收集模式：萊斯特的帽子新創的遊玩方式，玩家須在遊玩過程將可能成為最後推論真相的證據或疑點標記為「關鍵線索」，收集足夠的關鍵線索即可得知事件的全部真相。

純劇情模式：遊玩過程中所有關鍵線索將會以特殊顏色標示，玩家須在結局前將事件中的問題與正確線索配對，配對成功即可得知事件全部真相。

除了對劇情真相的推理，調查過程中還必須解開宅邸中的各種謎題，全遊戲共有二十個謎題，適合喜歡享受解謎樂趣的玩家。

【遊戲特色】

全遊戲無追逐戰，僅包含少部份輕微驚嚇。

遊戲內設有可以查看當前事件與回顧過往劇情功能，不怕忘記上次玩到哪裡。

所有謎題皆配有提示系統，玩家可利用提示系統得知自己是否還缺少線索，收集滿線索後可以查看謎題的提示，若還是解不開，提示系統中所有題目均附有答案，讓你不卡關的順暢體驗整個故事。
