Ring the bell. Defend the Sacred Sardine. Be a cat.

In Kitty Cat Castle, you are a curious, castle-dwelling cat who can’t resist pawing a mysterious bell. Unfortunately for you, each ring summons a wave of aliens that are determined to steal the Sacred Sardine from the heart of the castle. You’ll have to scratch, jump, and dash through fast-paced platforming combat to protect the treasure. If the wave is too difficult, take a break to explore the world and return stronger.

The World

At the heart of the world stands the eponymous castle, home to you and a handful of helpful (and occasionally cryptic) NPC cats. Between the alien waves, you’re free to explore a growing world of interconnected zones:

• A mossy dungeon full of sentient plants and dangers can be found deep in The Forest.

• Out in The Dunes, you’ll find buried secrets somewhere below the shifting sands.

• Locked doors beneath the castle’s foundations lead you to the mysterious Cellar.

• …and several more zones to explore!

New keys and artifacts unlock new routes. Paths sometimes loop back. Shortcuts open. Exploration is important, as it makes future waves of aliens easier to deal with (and sometimes even survivable!).

Ring the Bell, Face the Wave

Each wave begins when you choose to jump up and ring the bell inside the castle. Aliens swarm the castle courtyard, each color signaling a different ability. Early waves are manageable. Later ones demand mastery, and often a few special items found deep in the world.

If you fail, you rewind to before the wave began. The Sacred Sardine is never lost forever, but victory may require preparation.

Explore at Your Own Pace

This is a handcrafted, single-player adventure inspired by classic action-platformers and exploration-driven games. Progress is permanent. If you discover a key, an artifact, or a shortcut, it stays discovered, even if you tumble into a dungeon pit.

There are no roguelike resets and no pressure to rush. You decide when to ring the bell again.
