Under the keyword “Clues”, you’ll progress through the story by Investigating, Interrogating, Pressing, and Combining the information you uncover.

As Orin, a “courier” who takes on requests within the city,
can you untangle the web of lies and face the truth that awaits you?

Demo Information

• This is the demo version of Gray Protocol.

• The demo includes Scenario 0 and Scenario 1.

• Each scenario offers approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes of gameplay,

  for a total of around 3 hours of playtime.

• The full version of the game will feature six scenarios in total.

• All of the features introduced below are fully implemented in this demo.

1. Gameplay

Investigation

Orin’s companions, Aera and Rucan, will assist you with their unique abilities.

Aera possesses the power to control blood.
Using this ability, she can perform examinations without leaving a trace—providing you with autopsy reports and hidden insights.

Rucan, equipped with exceptional analytical systems, will help you uncover traces invisible to the naked eye.

With their help, explore the scene, gather every clue, and piece together what truly happened.

Interrogation

You can directly interrogate the suspects.

Some may provide new leads, while others might cast doubt on each other’s alibis—

or even strengthen them with carefully crafted lies.

Press

Use the clues you’ve gathered to logically corner your suspects.

If your reasoning is sound, you may uncover the truths they’ve tried to hide—

but be careful: a single wrong accusation can cloud the investigation even further.

Combine

Every clue you collect holds meaning.
By combining clues, you can discover new facts—
then use them to interrogate and press suspects once more.
And sometimes, newly obtained clues can lead to further combinations, opening unexpected paths toward the truth.

When every piece falls into place… the truth will finally reveal itself.

The story of Gray Protocol unfolds in Belmarc, a city-state built after the Great Collapse.
Under the dazzling lights of magic and the precision of science, civilization has been reborn.
But beneath that order lies a web of crimes interwoven with both magic and technology.

Was this crime born of magic?
Of science?
—Or perhaps... both?

Characters

As magic and science coexist, so too do many different races within Belmarc.

Humans possess neither exceptional computational power nor magical ability,
yet their remarkable adaptability keeps them at the heart of the city.

Venerifa are descendants of those who fled the witch hunts centuries ago, surviving in the polar regions.
They wield magic freely and bear animal-like traits shaped by their evolution.

Cognitus are sentient AI constructs—originally weapons of war,
now recognized as beings with emotions and self-awareness, coexisting among the citizens of Belmarc.

Within this delicate balance of power,
you will face a series of incidents that test the boundaries between logic, magic, and morality.
