About This Game

AGENCY is a game of abstract challenges that will test your ability to discover and interpret. You play as π (Pi), the symbol, in a top-down perspective, and you have to traverse eight levels. Each level represents a different trial, with very different rules and mechanics. Your goal is to figure out these rules to successfully complete the challenges.

The levels in AGENCY feel very distinct. One moment you are dealing with marbles and pipes in repeating rooms and the next, you are confronting mocking faces. Despite this distinctiveness, the levels have an underlying meaning and they are part of a unifying theme. Unfortunately, I cannot describe this further without spoiling the game. It is up to you to think about the levels and interpret them.

The musical score and sound design in AGENCY is the work of the exceptional and scarily talented Craven M., co-founder of AURALNAUTS. Craven also runs the YouTube channel "Craven In Outer Space", where he published a summer synthwave version of "Ice Ice Baby" that was so good, it was re-uploaded to Vanilla Ice's official channel.

Craven has arranged and performed the score for each level with careful consideration of the underlying themes. His work on the sound design was guided by the same philosophy. When you play AGENCY, you will have the best possible sonic experience accompanying you as you confront the challenges.

We designed AGENCY's levels and gameplay with a particular theme in mind. However, as you play it, you will find your own meaning and your own interpretations. Part of the experience (and fun) in AGENCY is in exchanging notes about what each of us thinks the game is about and how it makes us feel. • Pure gameplay: You'll dive in fast and then it's all about the gameplay.

• Focused experience: AGENCY should take between two to three hours to complete at first. It might take you more or less depending on how skilled you are and how much of a completionist you are. If you are familiar with the game and its levels, it could take you less than an hour to complete it.

• A 2D and 3D fusion: While AGENCY has a strict top-down perspective, the game lives in a 3D world with 3D gameplay elements. Enjoy stunning visuals that will evoke different feelings at different moments and challenges that will test your depth perception.
