Manchester's Crimes: The Beginnings is the Nordic Cats Studio's debut. This game is the chapter one of an ambitious project developed by a talented team of passionate game lovers.

The game is placed in United Kingdom in 1889. During the Victorian times, the British society faced increasing criminal activity, caused by the growing inequalities among the social classes. Among the numerous crimes, the amount of murders snowballed...

In this game, you will be playing as a 21-year-old Wilson Hellberg, who grew up in a small town on the outskirts of Manchester. The Hellberg family is leading their ordinary life as a merchant family, untill... his older brother is murdered by an unknown criminal. The crime is disregarded and dismissed by the local authorities. Desperate Wilson decides to try and deliver the justice himself in the big, unknown city.

Find clues in the foreign, hostile Manchester, full of outcasts and criminals. Explore both the dark streets and ornately decorated interiors, shown in detail thanks to an unordinary graphic design. Talk to the Mancunians (people living in Manchester), but remember that every word can bring Wilson closer to his goal. Keep a diary/journal. It will help you get to know Manchester with Wilson, and find out the identity of the killer.
