About This Game

Wake up in a procedurally generated pixel world where surviving is only the beginning. Gather resources, build a home, grow your own food, craft better equipment, fight creatures that roam the world, and prepare yourself for what waits beneath the surface.

Yondel combines survival, farming, crafting, building and exploration into one sandbox adventure. Start with almost nothing, create a place to call home, and slowly work your way deeper underground in search of new ores, stronger equipment and greater dangers.

  • ⛏️ DIG DEEPER

The surface is only the beginning. Craft a pickaxe, find your way underground and descend through increasingly dangerous cave floors. Mine valuable ores and minerals, light up pitch-black caverns with torches and lanterns, battle underground creatures and bring your discoveries back home. The deeper you travel, the more valuable the resources become — but surviving the journey becomes harder too.

  • 🏠 BUILD A WORLD OF YOUR OWN

Turn an empty patch of land into somewhere worth surviving for. Build walls, floors, doors, storage, crafting stations, furnaces, beds, lighting and decorations. Create a tiny survival camp, a cozy farmstead, a workshop filled with machinery, or something completely different. Your world is yours to shape.

  • 🌾 FARM, COOK & SURVIVE

Survival isn't just about swinging a sword. Prepare farmland, plant seeds, water your crops and harvest ingredients to keep yourself fed. Grow crops such as wheat, carrots, potatoes and strawberries, then turn what you gather into useful meals using campfires and cooking stations. Keep an eye on your hunger, prepare supplies before long expeditions and make sure you have enough food to get back home alive.

  • ⚒️ CRAFT YOUR WAY FORWARD

Almost everything starts with what you can gather from the world. Use different crafting stations to turn raw resources into tools, weapons, armor, building materials and useful equipment. Smelt ores into metal bars, forge stronger gear at the anvil, process materials at specialized workstations and gradually upgrade what you're capable of making. Better equipment doesn't just make life easier — it lets you push further into places you couldn't safely explore before.

  • ⚔️ FIGHT FOR WHAT YOU FIND

Yondel may look cozy, but the world isn't always friendly. Slimes and other hostile creatures roam the surface while bats, beetles and more dangerous enemies wait underground. Craft weapons, equip armor and improve your defenses before heading into dangerous territory. And if you die? Your belongings aren't simply forgotten. Find your grave, recover what you lost and try not to make the same mistake twice.

  • 🌙 SURVIVE THE NIGHT

The world changes when darkness arrives. Night makes exploration more dangerous, while the underground can be completely dark without a light source. Prepare before leaving home, carry supplies and use torches, lanterns and campfires to create safe pockets of light in the darkness.

  • 🎨 MAKE IT YOURS

Survival doesn't mean everything has to look boring. Customize your character, decorate your home, create your own clan identity and display creations made by the community. Yondel's Steam Workshop support lets players publish and share custom paintings that can be placed directly inside the game world. Build somewhere that actually feels like yours.

  • 👥 SURVIVE ALONE OR TOGETHER

Everything can be experienced alone, but you don't have to survive by yourself. Invite friends into your world through online co-op. Explore together, gather resources, build a shared base, farm, craft and head underground as a group. One player can be farming peacefully at home while someone else is several floors underground making extremely questionable decisions.

  • 🌱 A WORLD THAT KEEPS GROWING

Yondel is being actively expanded with new underground floors, resources, creatures, equipment, building options, Workshop content and more. Start on the surface. Build somewhere safe. Prepare your gear. Then see how deep you're willing to go.
