About This Game

🕰️ Tempus Inceptum

Time for initiative. Shape the outcome.

Tempus Inceptum is a competitive strategy and economic simulation built around short to medium-length sessions.

Across identical, seeded worlds, you face rival AI factions in contained scenarios where every decision reshapes the flow of progress. Each run forms a complete strategic arc — with outcomes tracked, compared, and ranked on leaderboards.

Shape the world through building placement — claiming territory, cutting rivals off from key resources, and redirecting the flow of production. Harvest raw materials from the terrain, refine them into valuable products, and trade both on a dynamic exchange driven by supply, demand, and timing. Terrain elevation, scarcity, and market pressure intertwine, turning even a single building into a strategic fulcrum.

You decide where to build, what to produce, and when to intervene. At pivotal moments, deploy Gambits — powerful, limited actions that can destabilise markets, unlock opportunities, or shift territorial control when timing matters most. Used well, a single Gambit can decide the outcome of an entire world.

Distinct AI factions evolve alongside you, adapting to blocked routes, countering your Gambits, and pursuing their own priorities. Each faction responds differently to pressure, ensuring no run plays out the same way.

Over multiple sessions, your decisions begin to form a pattern. The game observes how you play — when you expand, when you disrupt, how you respond to risk — and carries that identity forward across timelines. From territorial tactician to opportunistic trader, from patient planner to speculative industrialist, your legacy is shaped across many worlds, not just one.

Your flag, your faction name, and your logbook are not decoration. They are records of the outcomes you’ve shaped — and the strategist you’ve become.

🌟 Core Features

Dynamic AI Factions

Distinct personalities and evolving priorities react to terrain pressure, blocked expansion paths, market shifts, and your chosen Gambits — ensuring every match plays out differently.

Layered Economy

Harvest resources from the world, refine them into profitable goods, and trade everything on a living exchange that rises and falls with every faction’s decisions.

Strategic Gambits

Execute predetermined, high-impact actions that can reshape markets, accelerate production, disrupt rivals, or open new paths at decisive moments. Gambits reward foresight, timing, and nerve.

Competitive Play

Climb daily, weekly, and monthly leaderboards across identical seeded worlds — where strategy, timing, and adaptation define victory.

Territorial Control & Flow

Shape the map through building placement to secure high-value sites, restrict enemy access, and force rivals into suboptimal terrain. Control emerges through pressure, not permanence.

Multiple Paths to Victory

Prosper through trade, efficiency, territorial influence, well-timed Gambits, or economic dominance. Each route offers different risks and rewards.

Stylized World

A clean, atmospheric presentation designed for clarity and immersion, highlighting terrain, resources, and evolving economies.

Replayable Matches

Short, focused sessions where each decision leaves a lasting mark — and no two worlds unfold the same way.
