In The Lost Signal: SCP you can become one of the agency’s staff members investigating paranormal phenomena. Currently, a Class D staff member and a Field Agent are available.

Class D knows and sees very little; all he gets are orders, and all he does is directly interact with dangerous phenomena. Learn the basics of the game and feel the atmosphere by playing as him.

The Agent knows much more. He was sent to an agency station from which contact was lost, and there he is free to investigate as he sees fit. His task is to find out what happened. Upon arriving, he discovers that the agency has long since lost control over the anomalous phenomena. What more he can learn about the situation depends entirely on the player's actions. What you uncover and study will influence your character’s fate and the agency’s overall results. Each ending uncovered by the player will reveal a part of what's really happening.

The Lost Signal: SCP is a world‑exploration game. To understand what’s happening around you, you’ll have to dive into the strangest worlds and dimensions, uncover many well-hidden secrets, and inspect a wide variety of anomalous objects. The main tool is your radio, through which you can report discovered phenomena and earn Observation Points, the universal currency in a world where information is the ultimate value.

Every location you can reach has its own unique character. Some realms will frighten you:

Endless claustrophobic corridors, the “wardrobe labyrinth,” a ruined world overrun by bloodthirsty zombies, and other dangerous dimensions evoke classic horror games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill.

A pistol, a knife, and other weapons help you survive these perilous worlds. Weapons keep monsters at a distance.

The Desert, Forest, and Gas Mask worlds lean more toward titles like Yume Nikki and LSD: Dream Emulator, evoking liminal spaces or dreams.

Water and canned food help restore health and stave off hunger during long explorations of these places. Hunger and thirst can be more dangerous foes than monsters. In the desert, you’ll need to drink a lot, so thorough preparation is essential.

A flashlight is indispensable where it’s dark.
