Pourquoi choisir l'accès anticipé ?

« War Pawns is not yet in its final form, and Early Access will allow the game to continue evolving with community feedback.

The current version already includes the core gameplay systems, multiplayer battles, a tutorial, and a map editor for creating custom battlefields. The codebase also already includes the foundation needed for future scenario-based content.

During Early Access, development will focus on improving overall game quality, polishing the core experience, refining balance and usability, and expanding the game with additional content. Current plans include adding more single-player scenarios, exploring cooperative scenario-based play, and introducing additional factions to expand tactical variety.

Community feedback will play an important role throughout this process. Player impressions, suggestions, and bug reports will help guide improvements to gameplay, balance, interface, and overall polish.

Early Access is intended to help shape War Pawns into a more complete and refined tactical experience over time. »

Turn-based tactical warfare set in World War II.

War Pawns is a turn-based tactical strategy where players command squads of military units across hex-based battlefields. Maneuver your forces, outflank the enemy, and fight for control of key objectives in battles where positioning and coordination decide the outcome.

Tactical Turn-Based Combat

Command a diverse force of infantry, tanks, vehicles, artillery, support units, officers, and specialized units. Use maneuvering, flanking attacks, and coordinated strikes to break enemy lines and secure the advantage on the battlefield.

Multiplayer Tactical Battles

Compete in team-based multiplayer matches including 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and up to 4v4 battles, depending on the map. Create lobbies through Steam and challenge other players in tactical engagements where teamwork and strategy determine victory.

Strategic Objectives

Each battle takes place on carefully designed 16×16 hex maps where teams fight to control the battlefield. Capture strategic flags to earn victory points or push through enemy defenses to seize the opposing headquarters.

Surround enemy forces, create encirclements, and use terrain and fortifications to gain tactical superiority.

Create Custom Battlefields

Design your own hex-based battlefields with the built-in map editor and bring them directly into multiplayer matches. Player-created maps allow commanders to experiment with new layouts and tactical challenges.

Command World War II Armies

Choose between two factions — Germany and the United States — each bringing their own forces into tactical battles set during World War II.

Some visual assets in War Pawns were created with the assistance of generative AI tools during development. These images were reviewed, selected, and integrated by the developer as part of the game’s artwork. Generative AI was used only for pre-generated visual assets, and the game does not use AI to generate content during gameplay. All gameplay systems, design, and programming were created manually.
