“Our current estimate is roughly 2–4 months in Early Access. This may shift depending on feedback-driven balancing, polish, and technical fixes. We’ll leave Early Access once our content and performance targets are met.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

• Add interactive elements during experiments (e.g., needle interaction, extracting fluids/blood, pressing/squeezing mechanics, etc.).
• Increase the variety of torture methods in the interrogation segment.
• Add mini-games.
• Add new gameplay content with new interaction types (different gameplay loops, new interaction mechanics, etc.).”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“What to expect in the current build:
• A playable world with the core mechanics implemented
• Basic progression and repeatable gameplay activities
• Ongoing balancing, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements

“We’ll actively involve the community throughout development: Discord + Steam forums for structured feedback, regular devlogs explaining what changed and why, periodic playtests, and a public roadmap. We’ll prioritize suggestions based on impact, development cost, and risk, while staying consistent with the game’s core vision.

About This Game

The Book of the Alchemist is an atmospheric psychological thriller set in a remote 1980s village where science collides with the occult.

After being diagnosed with cancer, Professor Ben abandons conventional medicine and turns to ancient alchemy. Among the graves, he experiments in secrecy, chasing the impossible: eternal life.

The game focuses on exploration, secrecy, and moral choice.
