Hourglass Sanatorium is a surreal adventure horror game in which you'll explore haunted mazes, meet strange characters and travel to a mysterious alternate world to meet your dead father. The game is based on the works of  surrealist writer and visual artist Bruno Schulz.

Joseph wakes up without a ticket in an almost empty, archaic train. Suddenly he remembers... his father died. No, he didn't. He couldn't. Surely, Joseph's father still rests in the Sanatorium.

You are Joseph, an artist adrift at the edge of reality. To meet your deceased father you must take a train to a mythical place known as Doctor Gotard's Sanatorium where even death can be cured... or so they say. The road to father is filled with strange mazes, memories and challanges.

Dezvoltatorii descriu conținutul astfel:

The nudity is stylized, rare and only present in dreamlike surreal sequences. No genitals are visible. There is no sexual interaction between the characters. The game is based on the art of Bruno Schulz whose drawings often depicted characters in surreal symbolic scenes with partial nudity. Being faithful to the source material the game sometimes shows bare breasts and buttocks and suggestive but non-sexual acts of female worship in brief scenes.
