This is a DEMO of a game, not a full game, made in collaboration with Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences.

The Valiant Attempt is a story-driven 3D action RPG set in a low-poly world on the brink of collapse.
You play as a displaced noble turned mercenary, wandering through the ruins of nations devoured by war. Alongside AI-driven companions, you’ll battle, explore, and make choices that may change what’s left of your world — or simply survive it.

Gameplay

Gameplay in The Valiant Attempt mixes real-time combat with reactive AI behavior.
Enemies coordinate with each other, allies respond to your actions, as enemies and you try to defeat each. Combat blends physical collisions, directional strikes, and projectile mechanics — every swing, block, or spell feels grounded in motion and timing.

Story and World

Generations after a fallen empire’s monsters reshaped the realm, humanity’s own greed has reignited the cycle of conquest.
Your homeland lies divided, your family’s fate unknown, and rumors speak of an ancient artifact that could end — or escape — the endless war.
Whether it’s myth or salvation is yours to uncover.
