About This Game

Are you ready to take command of a sector of the frontline?

Tarnex Warfare is a real-time operational-tactical wargame set in a modern warfare setting. You command military units within a defined sector of the frontline, plan operations, coordinate different branches of the armed forces, and make decisions that directly shape the situation on the battlefield.

You do not build bases or gather resources. Your task is to accomplish combat objectives using the forces at your disposal, while taking terrain, logistics, support, and the overall frontline situation into account.

You command formations at the operational level - companies, battalions, and brigades - and your decisions determine whether you hold the line, break through enemy defenses, or lose control of the territory.

Fight Anywhere

Tarnex Warfare allows you to wage war on maps based on real-world terrain.

The built-in map editor lets you create playable maps using OpenStreetMap data. You can build maps of different scales - from small areas of terrain to large operational sectors - with real roads, cities, rivers, fields, and forests that directly affect the course of battle.

No Provinces. Only the Frontline

Tarnex Warfare has no province system. The frontline is formed dynamically and changes depending on unit positions, combat intensity, and your actions.

This means you can:

  • break through enemy defenses

  • encircle hostile units

  • create threats to enemy flanks

  • withdraw to preserve your forces

  • hold key positions

Every position on the map matters, and the frontline situation is constantly evolving.

Terrain Matters

Terrain type directly affects unit movement, combat effectiveness, and operational possibilities.

Cities, forests, open fields, roads, and rivers can either help you accomplish your mission or create serious problems if ignored. Using terrain effectively is one of the key elements of operational planning.

Planning and Maneuver

Tarnex Warfare focuses on operational planning, maneuver, unit coordination, and territorial control rather than click speed.

Proper unit positioning, timely commitment of reserves, organizing an attack or defense, using support assets, and taking the overall frontline situation into account can be decisive for the outcome of an operation.

Logistics and Support

Units require supplies, reinforcements, and support in order to fight effectively. Roads, distances, and rear-area organization all affect your ability to conduct long and complex operations.

A poorly prepared offensive can stall, even if everything seemed to be going according to plan at first.

The Modern Battlefield

You have access to a range of modern warfare assets:

  • infantry

  • armored vehicles

  • artillery

  • airstrikes

  • reconnaissance and strike drones

  • electronic warfare systems

  • engineering units

Combine different unit types and support assets to gain the advantage on the battlefield and accomplish your mission.
