«Here at GasMilk Amalgamations, we want to ensure everyone has the best experience possible. We need help finding bugs, suggesting features, and overall improving the game. We are a small team, so giving suggestions means a lot.
Furthermore, we would like to get the base game out to show the potential. Prices will be raised on full release.»

«We plan to include a rogue-like game mode or story mode, plenty of enemy variety, and hopefully more powers. While none of these are guaranteed, we still want to make sure we give back as much as you do, if not more.»

«The game is pretty polished, with the arcade mode fully implemented with generation, a fair but difficult grade system, lap 2, and a variety of enemies with different behaviors. We have settings and full controller support, hopefully with SteamDeck to follow in compatibility. You can expect a clean, polished, experience.»

«The price will increase by a considerable amount. While we aren't sure by how much, we are confident that it will be around a 50-75% increase depending on the full release size, but even that price range may not be our final decision.»

«We want the community to be able to suggest different powers, monsters, or even voice-lines. We want to read reviews and make changes (as long as it roughly aligns with our vision of this project) accordingly. We allow the community to help us on the project, even through contributions. Players and reviewers can shape this game in a new direction that can really benefit future players.»

Summary:

Depths of Deceit is a game where you run around collecting orbs while trying to avoid various enemies!

Engage in this action-packed horror experience as you try to get the best time possible! In this game, you must

Losing lives takes away from score!
Maps and enemies are randomly generated in a way where it's challenging but still fair, allowing unique runs each time while maintaining similar difficulty!

The goal is to get a P+, which will be quite the challenge...

Gameplay Details:

In Depths of Deceit, you have to run around, avoid getting caught, and collect all orbs as fast as possible!

You have abilities; meaning you can speed up when you need it! But be careful, you may not have access to these powers all the time.

You can collect special orbs to stun or reveal enemy locations! You sometimes need to think about when to use them!

Levels generate randomly! This includes enemy stats and behavior. Difficulty is not dependent on size. Meaning you can have a massive map and have the same density of special orbs and enemies!
You will get a rank (at the end of arcade mode)! Try to get a P+ by getting an S on lap 1 and 2. (NOTE: Lap 1 and Lap 2 grades are separate)

Speaking of lap 2, when you collect all the orbs, the portal opens up. You can beat it there or go through a different portal that respawns the orbs and makes the game more difficult.
