Why Early Access?

“Since its start, the development of Chalo Chalo has been a very iterative process. Early Access feels like a natural fit with this approach. We want to involve as many players as we can in helping us to shape the game's final form, we're convinced that Chalo Chalo will be all the better for it.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We don't know. We expect that information we'll learn through Early Access process will be important in deciding for ourselves the point at which we consider the game finished.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We envisage the full version of Chalo Chalo including additional content, being more polished, and more performant than the version available at the start of the early access period.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We've been iterating on the game since 2012. It feels as though we're at a stage where the project's main game design decisions have been made and validated. We think that the current incarnation of Chalo Chalo is pretty robust. The things on our to-do list now are related to optimisation, polish or 'nice to have' additional content.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We don't know.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“There are two of us making the game, Tomasz and Richard. We both expect to be in direct contact with our players via forum posts and email. We're very much looking forward to insights we can only get from contact with a broad community of Chalo Chalo racers, and to watching the emergence of the game's champion players.”
