Brain Candy uses strobing light, binaural audio, and haptic feedback, techniques reported to create states of deep relaxation, laser focus, energized flow, or soft fascination. We can't show our most intense experiences in screenshots but they're designed to reproduce the effects of expensive flicker light devices.

Brain Candy is an aesthetic, creative, and subjective experience informed by the science of rhythmic entrainment. It can serve as an aid to meditation or hypnosis, or just a place to unwind when you don't feel like doing much of anything.

How It Works

Decades of published research show that rhythmic stimulation can shift brain states. Brain Candy uses:

  • Visual strobing (8-12Hz) shown to increase thalamocortical connectivity

  • Binaural beats (1-20Hz) in delta, theta, and alpha ranges

  • Haptic pulses synchronized or syncopated with other channels

  • Fractal patterns (dimension 1.3-1.5) for soft fascination
