Romance, horror and German folklore - a dark fairytale begins.

Emilia was born into a world where fairytales and superstitions are part of her life. She grew up poor, and in her hometown she has only a few friends - people are suspicious of her, apparently because of something that happened in her childhood. When her stepmother finally sees the chance to throw her out, she needs to make a decision: go her own way or find out the truth about herself.
Will she find her happily ever after - or face the cruelest deaths, just as the Brothers Grimm once described?

The world of aristocracy:

Entering a world where money and status mean everything, Emilia must fight her way through competitive noblewomen and sinister princesses. Will she help Cinderella? Can the arrogant princess be convinced to finally marry one of her suitors? And can she uncover the secret of the silent queen? 
Emilia needs to be careful not to step on the wrong toes among the nobles - perhaps with the help of the arrogant Count Roman, who seems to appear in her life far more often than expected.

Working for a cruel countess:

Earning money through honest work may free Emilia from having to marry a random nobleman, but her employer is anything but easy. Working for a seemingly crazy countess who searches for a cursed prince in all kinds of fairytale fashions forces Emilia to make difficult choices - should she follow her own morals, or obey the countess’s orders?

And then there is Emil, who seems to play a far deeper role than that of a mere servant.

Finding the truth:

Against her stepmother’s wishes, Emilia may choose to stay with her family and her childhood friend Ludwig, who has just returned from war. There are things about her past that nobody ever told her, and she needs to uncover the truth - especially now that a dark figure has begun to follow her. She must navigate the festivals and German customs carefully if she wants to survive until the end of the year - and save Ludwig, who seems to carry a darker fate than she ever imagined.

• Luck or no luck: your knowledge of (or mistakes with) old German customs matters. Too many unlucky decisions will seal Emilia’s fate.

• Romance: Survive all four seasons to pursue romance with Count Roman, Officer Ludwig, or Servant Emil - offering the chance for a unique happily-ever-after.
