Welcome to all who have stepped onto the Path of the Conqueror in the name of the Age of Change. I am Danred Dante Helknight, Game Director of the indie studio Hellknights. The developers of video games God of War, DOOM and The Witcher 3 saved my life, and since then, I swore to dedicate it to creating truly living characters and extraordinary worlds that can inspire and save others, gifting them indescribable emotions.

Thanks to them, I realized my main goal in life, and over six years of meticulous refinement of the multi-layered script for the Action-RPG Helgnar The Conqueror, I created 10 new innovative narrative systems aimed at the evolution of the genre and interactivity. Due to the overabundance of live-service games, I feared for the future of story-driven video games and created a multitude of systems vitally necessary for the industry.

— At its core, The Conqueror is a spiritual successor to The Witcher 3, but reimagined, expanded, innovative, and set in the author-crafted, distinctive Ruthless Warworld, which unfolds and surprises right up to the very finale. At the beginning of development, The Witcher 3 was the main foundation, inspiration, and benchmark: I completed my favorite game over 10 times and for many years saw incredible untapped potential in this balanced Action-RPG formula.

I didn’t just take the best from the references, but channeled all my efforts into realizing the depth that I always felt was missing in the genre. My main goal was to unlock that very hidden potential — to maximally deepen and elevate the familiar formula to a new level: from a system of multi-layered quests with double consequences to 10 absolutely new breakthrough narrative systems, created over 6 years of hard work. — The key goal of Hellknights is to create a high-quality game for fans, worthy of the title "Game of the Year" and capable of standing alongside The Witcher 3, Expedition 33, and Baldur’s Gate 3. — It is widely believed that the Action-RPG genre has reached its peak, but in reality, the industry is stuck in an illusion of progress: since the Nemesis System (2014), we haven't seen any fundamentally new systems. For the past decade, the market has been preoccupied merely with "cosmetics" — pushing graphics and expanding scale. My ten systems, created over 6 years of development, prove that the future of gaming lies in the evolution of interactivity, not in the endless polishing of the past.

— I deeply respect Hideo Kojima and want to achieve for the industry I love with all my heart what he once did in his time. Thanks to video games, I was Born Again, and I have dedicated my life to creating a true work of art where every detail serves a single vision. The story, gameplay, music, art design, interactivity, and every other element—everything is interconnected and organically complements one another.

Thanks to a multi-layered script and 10 narrative systems, characters will truly come to life before your eyes for the first time, making key decisions on their own. My systems blur the line between the player's reality and the virtual world. They skillfully evoke deep, mature emotions through a new level of interactivity and truly Realistic Connections. To give you an idea of my level of commitment: six months were dedicated solely to writing an ending that is both worthy and honest toward the players. As I was finishing it, all my characters truly came to life for me; since then, I have treated them as living individuals and symbols of something truly legendary.

Everyone here is ready to sacrifice absolutely everything for a great cause or a cherished dream. The main antagonist here is the Ruthless Warworld itself, and it does not forgive mistakes. There are no heroes or villains in Warworld, only people with all kinds of problems and aspirations.

— The Warworld is a truly extraordinary world in which higher entities intentionally hold back technological progress for the sake of survival. Warworld is realistic and logical: everything living here is created by evolution. Its history is built on the paradoxes of evolution and progress, where the main driving forces become deadly viruses, global epidemics, mutations, and genetic transformations. If you remove magic, curses, and boring clichés from the Middle Ages, this setting becomes many times more interesting and captivating. Players can expect an author's reimagining of the genre — a world that, in the spirit of Assassin’s Creed 2, captivates with its depth and a grand mystery hidden behind the screen of medieval settings.

​— It is generally accepted that Action-RPGs and story-driven video games have reached their peak, but in reality, the industry is stuck in an illusion of progress, having never revealed even a part of the true potential of games. Most players and media agree on one thing: in the last ten years, not a single fundamentally new system has been created. In 2014, the Nemesis system in Shadow of Mordor became the last example of a truly living system changing the structure of narrative and relationships with the world. For many years I waited for one of the studio to dig deeper and reveal the true potential, but in every new game, I saw all the same things.

​If you want to get something, do it yourself — and that is why I dedicated the last 6 years to finding the "keys" that will allow story-driven games to take the next step, evolve into something greater, and reveal their true potential. Unlike movies and TV shows, video game developers have a huge number of opportunities to create a unique interactive experience, but this potential has simply not been used for years. More than ten new systems created for my game became my manifesto and proof: the true evolution of video games is in our hands, and we are capable of much more than endless polishing of the past and improving graphics.

They do not inflate scales for the sake of numbers, but maximally deepen the plot, taking relationships between characters to a new level. Instead of the illusion of choice typical for the genre, players — often unnoticeably to themselves — will influence the fates of characters and the state of the world itself. Every word or action of yours will have inevitable Double Consequences, which will remind of themselves even after dozens of hours of play.

The use of the "Realistic Connections" systems excludes the very possibility of the appearance of a clichéd plot, boring quests, or empty characters. While the industry stood still, and scriptwriters walked along beaten paths, I looked into the very essence of role-playing games and squeezed the maximum out of the genre.

​I have lived and breathed the gaming industry for over 20 years, and all this is just the beginning: I am developing many directions in which video games can evolve. Besides the current development, I already have an extensive set of new systems and prototypes formed that will become the next stage of my work. — The game, in the spirit of The Witcher 3, is 50% ready: ten innovative systems and all key mechanics are already implemented. The script, with a volume of 4000 pages with multi-layered quests, a system of double consequences, and its own deep mythology of the "Endless War of Worlds," is 100% completed. In parallel, the musical foundation has been established: the first half of the soundtrack, featuring 15 compositions, is already complete.

— We are strongly inspired by the development path of Baldur's Gate 3 and, with the help of Early Access, we also plan to develop the game together with players, because all these years we have tried for you and a better future for story-driven video games.

— No matter what happens, development will be finished, and all promises made to players will be fulfilled. After losing absolutely everything and enduring all the torments of the Hell of the Ruthless World of War, Dahnred Helgnar Nightblaze undergoes a path of formation from an innocent teenager to a ruthless Berserker, instilling fear in every living soul. Dahnred gains brotherhood, learns the bloody Path of Berserker, and joins a global organization fighting to secure autonomy for the Wolf Kingdom of Redrock. As a member of the unified Berserker brotherhood, he participates in all the Wars of Thrones, in battles with invincible monsters and gradually becomes the informal leader of the brotherhood of the world's best warriors.

Over hundreds of wars, he kills politicians, jarls, kings and learns about all their weak points. With the invaluable experience of ten years of throne wars, incredible resources and skills in his hands, Berserker keeps a promise he made to himself on a decisive night and starts exterminating kings for the sake of a better future. Inhuman politicians are not easily disempowered and the temporary alliance of the kings of Dreigrim hits him in the heart. All of your ambiguous and difficult choices shape your companions and change them beyond recognition. Throughout the game, you will have to fully shape 7 key characters to become exactly the way you see them. You will lead your characters by example, showing them what it takes to survive in the ruthless Warworld. Each of the key characters undergoes a path of development and it's up to you to decide who they will become in the end. It's up to you to decide who the characters will be at the end of their path, who is going to live or to die, and whether Ruthless Warworld is worth a chance for redemption.

In the final chapters, absolutely every long-forgotten decision you've made takes on the hidden consequences of your actions. The ending leaves no one disappointed, because it's only your previous actions that have led to it. All the characters that you have formed throughout the game have become exactly what you have built them to be. Characters will make choices that change everything, influenced solely by your tough calls throughout the game. You will not be able to cheat, replay the final chapter or change the ending, as in The Witcher 3, for example.

For the first time in role-playing video games, you will determine the destiny of the entire world long before the final chapters as a result of numerous choices throughout the missions. All chapters and choices throughout the game missions are interconnected and lead to an epic ending that will change absolutely everything. The fate of Warworld and all its characters depends solely on you and the choices you made along the way. In the final chapters, the new systems will reveal their full potential giving a whirlwind of emotions to the players.

The Connections systems will truly bring the characters to life and create a deep bond between you and them. And the original multi-layer story with unexpected plot twists, surpassing the best representatives in the genre, will give you new emotions until the very ending. We have done our best to ensure that every hour of the game brings fresh emotions you have never felt before. The unique systems of Realistic Connections in symbiosis with shocking twists of plot will give you the most unforgettable moments in your life.

This is far from the typical promotional claims or empty promises of advertisers. These are actual facts: the script with unique systems is complete, all the endings with multiple consequences are outlined, and everything described above has already been implemented. The whole trick is in meticulous elaboration of the RPG scenario and utilizing all available resources to the maximum. I've been living in this world for years, squeezing the most out of the characters and plot. Being a fan, I understand what players crave from a role-playing video game and through the new systems I am going to exceed their wildest expectations.

I've done all I could so you would experience the full range of emotions throughout the missions and enjoy unforgettable impressions that you will never encounter in your life. I created unique character connections systems, delved as deep as possible into the characters' personalities and created a Warworld that will surprise you right up until the ending. I learned from my mistakes during the editing process, sacrificed 6 years of my life for a better future for the gaming industry, and created something truly special. I put everything I could into each character and through the Connections systems brought the characters to life as much as it is possible to do. The destiny of Warworld and its creator is up to you and you alone.

7) — THE MOST ELABORATE SCRIPT IN THE GAMING INDUSTRY —

At the core of the story lies a confrontation between ideologies and values - each character will fight for what they truly believe in. The conflict is based on a clash of beliefs, so it will make the players reflect on each party’s justice. You will hate the enemies you face body and soul. Especially you will hate yourself, as your actions cause people dear to you to die and you can't stop the Doomsday. Such an original, elaborate and multi-layered action-RPG scenario with unique systems, double consequences and living characters cannot be created within a year or even two. In order to take role-playing video games to a whole new level, to give players the full range of emotions and to reach an incredibly intricate ending, I had to create new Realistic Connections systems that have been constantly evolving throughout the six years of developing the best and breakthrough scenario in the gaming industry.

With the Fatemaker systems, the lives of all the characters are in your hands. Now everything depends only on you and your ambiguous and tough choices throughout the game. The Personality Formation systems allows you to fully form 7 key characters with their own tragic, unique destinies, and it is up to you to determine their ultimate fate. Living characters form an opinion about you based on your ambiguous actions and they make key decisions that change everything. From now on, you will be responsible for every word you say, because one of your dialog choices can conceal Fatal Death. The Fatal Choice systems will force you to constantly keep your finger on the pulse, and you will feel emotions with every choice you make. The Realistic Relationship systems will catch you off guard when you think you deal with just a bunch of puppets who obey you and your desires. I have put all my soul into my characters to make them as alive as imaginable in any game. Now the characters form their own opinion about you, based on your ambiguous actions and make key decisions themselves. It's not you who chooses who to be with, but the characters who come to life right in front of your eyes decide if you're worthy of them.

For the player, characters become alive the moment a personal and intimate relationship is formed between you, and thanks to the Live Connections system, all your bonds with the characters will become as close and personal as possible. These unique systems create many incredible situations, provide unforgettable moments and are completely honest with the player. The best outcome in the history of video games awaits you, because each of you will get exactly the outcome you deserve. Each player will have their own personal and outcome-honest ending, in which certain characters will survive. All choices are challenging, ambiguous, and contradictory, so everyone follows their own personal paths.

For the majority of the characters, into whom soul and heart have been poured, to survive, you will need to give your absolute best from the very beginning and throughout the entire game. You will always have to think ahead, listen to, and understand the living characters who have their own opinions about you and your actions. Only you decide what the ending will be from the very start of the game. It is only up to you to decide who the characters will be at the end of their ruthless path. After all, it is you who has been shaping their personalities throughout the game and bringing their intricate stories to a close. The future of the gaming industry is not in quantity, but in the quality of the script and Realistic Links with the characters, giving you unforgettable moments.

8) – MULTI-LAYERED STORYLINE –

There is simply no such thing as good or evil in the Ruthless World of War — only Order and Chaos there. You will enjoy the unconventional, multi-layered, comprehensive, brutal, emotional and exciting storyline that will creep you out and make you experience new emotions every time. The elaborate plot, its characters, and the world keep continuously evolving and changing before your eyes. To tell a truly new and interesting story, the narrative was developed simultaneously across many layers, so that the story would keep the gamers intrigued and absorbed all the time and would satisfy their varying interests.

You are a Berserker and your line of duty keeps you at the center of action in the layer of the throne wars and the global one for the Imperial Throne of Order. You will see the multiplied monsters reappearing in the civilized world, and you must become a monster hunter to survive and protect your own Redrock Wolf Kingdom. The kings have been chaining the monsters and experimenting on them, and all Berserkers will have to go through a lot in the ongoing wars. You may refuse to believe in what ‘Deadwolf’ prophesied and in your destiny of ‘Doomsday’, but you see all flesh dying around you, and you cannot change anything as it’s beyond your power.

The shocking nightmares grow increasingly dreadful, reminding you of your true destiny. Throughout the storyline, you’re going to be in complicated relationships with the heroines who will be your companions in the story, and how far the romantic layer of the story unfolds depends on you only. While evolving, you establish your own brotherhood and learn to be a leader. Your Vengeance Brotherhood will go through a lot of changes and sacrifices and will develop into something superior in its layer of unity and fellowship.

And these are just basic layers of the game that are apparent, you will uncover all the other layers on your own while playing through. All these layers unfold and evolve in parallel. If someone doesn’t like wars of thrones or being part of any brotherhood, they will appreciate the romance thing and battles against monsters. Those who love detective stories and shocking mysteries will have a chance to get to the truth long before the game ends and to prepare for its inevitable devastating consequences. No one will be disappointed, because each of you will find something you seek in this rich story.

Each mission and all the choices to be made in it have been written just to let you experience a full range of emotions while playing through. The storyline is layered and complex, and written in such a way that this or other scene in it will touch you to the core. The main goal of the revolutionary systems and complex storyline is to squeeze all the emotions out of you and give you the thrills that you will never experience in your life. The world engulfed in war will be testing your willpower and that of the characters all the way to the endgame. You will have a chance both to bottom out when being a slave and to be the global master of destinies sitting on the emperor’s throne and wearing the Conqueror’s mask. The multi-layered plot doesn’t just develop or narrate the incredible story of the Conqueror’s life but first of all enables the gamer to make diverging decisions and face the consequences to the very endgame. The multi-layered narrative underlying the entire game script has created one of the most elaborate, intriguing and complex stories in the entire gaming industry.

You won’t be able to recall a similar storyline, as mine doesn’t draw from any existing plots. This story doesn’t slip into clichés, it breaks them and is superior to all clichéd competitors writing their scripts in haste. You’re not going to chase down another artifact, seek revenge or rescue your lost kinfolk again. But you will follow the Path of the Berserker, live the incredible life of Helgnar the Conqueror, and fight for what you believe. This story was created by its protean characters and their mixed actions. Its lore, key characters and plot are totally unique and like no other you’ve seen before.

9) – UNEXPECTED AND SHOCKING PLOT TWISTS –

As in the first seasons of Game of Thrones, this intriguing story was propelled by its characters and situations emerged from their diverging actions. The story will never feature any plot holes, inconsistencies or confusion. The key plot twists were produced by the elaborate characters and revolutionary Realistic Connections systems. That’s why all these story twists are unique, logical, unpredictable and will make you experience the emotions you’ve never felt before. While the first act features Game-of-Thrones-level plot twists to develop the characters and introduce the gamer to the extraordinary world, the second ruthless act will shock you and set new standards for video games. The characters have to do things they hate themselves for and reach their own points of no return.

The plot twists are merciless, emotional, unexpected and cross all the lines. But more importantly, they reveal all the hidden facets of the characters and let gamers experience inexpressible emotions stirred by the elaborate and breathtaking affective story. Someone dies time and again, and no one is safe from it in the earthly World of War. Especially the key characters aren’t safe, for your past long-forgotten actions can destroy them. So, relish and enjoy every unforgettable moment you and the characters share together. Nothing lasts forever in this world, and everyone will die someday.

You will have a chance to find yourself on the other side of a conflict and not to bridle your inner monster. Falling prey to your dark side, you can do something that you will always hate yourself for. The unpredictable plot twists never seen before will make you experience something truly incredible. Each of you will reach a point of no return, the deed after doing which you cannot count yourself a human being. Each of you will realize what you are capable of for the sake of your family, loved ones and your only chance to survive. The story twists are not just unique, affecting, shocking and taking breath away. First of all, they deepen the narrative and turn everything into the whole picture of the world.

From the very beginning you will ask a lot of questions puzzling over what is going on. You will feel unsure and uncertain together with the characters due to ambiguous information and you will strive to uncover the truth. You can be a detective collecting pieces of proof and clues to prepare for the inevitable devastating consequences and get closer to the truth before the game ends; or you can strictly follow the storyline, get everything handed to you on a platter and face the fatal consequences that will make you experience inexpressible emotions. And if you rack your brain, spots any details and find the hidden clues, you can prepare for making the toughest choices in your life in advance and gain an advantage.

10) – GAMEPLAY EVOLUTION –

The gameplay and all the systems will continuously evolve together with the key characters, introducing an ever-growing arsenal of weapons, skills, styles, abilities and variety throughout the game. For example, the combat system in the first act is as practical and mortal as possible, closely echoing that of Ghost of Tsushima but with a more ruthless Berserker style, marked by brutal finishers and uncontrolled rage like in God of War and Shadow of War. The combat system framework will resemble that of Stellar Blade, it emphasizes melees and supplementary ranged weapons too. However, in the second brutal act, the entire combat system evolves into something more epic, granting you powers comparable to those of Dante in DMC 5.

The combat system will be gradually amplified by new unique weapons featuring specific combat styles and brutal moves like those in GoW and DMC series. By combining various weapons from Deadnight’s Arsenal, you will feel like a savage killing machine, annihilating all who cross your path. You will enjoy the comprehensive, balanced, high-end combat system like that in GoW: Ragnarok and DMC V, which will make you experience only true pleasure and emotions. The gameplay and story are integrated, gradually evolving to complement each other.

11) – A VARIETY OF GAMEPLAY SYSTEMS –

- Gamers will experience staged, bloody, epic, large-scale battles and sieges, where they must give it your all to ensure that at least some of your favorite characters survive. The most pivotal battles and sieges will generally determine the fates of most of your favorite brothers-in-arms. Many blood-and-guts battles I wrote were inspired by the Battle of the Bastards, the Battle of Thermopylae and the Battle of the Hornburg. The air battle on the Creators’ dragons will elevate the epic nature of the battles to a whole new level and let gamers experience something indescribable.

- Throughout all the story missions, the Berserker will be accompanied by partners. The gamer levels up each of the partners and gets linked with them individually. Not only the relationships and fates of the partners but also how actively they will help in battles depend on your connection with them. All the partners have their gameplay abilities and individual roles they play.

- Everything is fully customizable. You can customize your squad, from clothing to hairstyles.

- The intricate parkour system will add an adrenaline rush to traveling together with your brothers-in-arms, and the grappling hook will help you to get control of and ride a monster in the sky, climb up to out-of-reach peaks, clear the way and diversify your journey through Dreigrim.

- The dialogue options you chose significantly impact the development of the storyline, changes the fates of the characters and lets you experience a full range of emotions thanks to the revolutionary Connections systems.

- As the most famous warrior in the Age of the Berserkers, you’ll be hunted everywhere: by the ‘Soul Hunters’ craving your far-famed soul, by your mortal enemies, whose toes you’re going to step on and whose lives you’re going to ruin now, and by those who you upset and offended in the past. The more you help people survive in the harsh world, the more you will be hunted and chased. After all, you will always step on the powerful people’s toes who will want to get rid of you. The whole Warworld will hunt you and it’s only up to you to decide who you’re going to be, a prey or a predator.

- The detective investigations will resemble those in The Witcher 3 and Batman: Arkham in the beginning, but evolution of the gameplay will make the detective investigations evolve too, and they will be more comprehensive and diverse than you’ve ever seen before. In the second act, you’re going to feel like a real and unparalleled detective.

- You’ll find yourself on the losing side, forced to improve with each fight in the World of War. Just like the Berserker will, you will have to give it your all and overcome unimaginable difficulties to survive in the unfair world featuring at the high complexity level of the game. When fighting against the invincible enemies, you will have to go to extreme lengths and sacrifice the most important thing you have. Are you ready to sell your soul to your inner monster to battle against all the monsters of the Warworld on an equal footing? Dishonest battles against bosses will feature a lot of shocking and crucial plot twists. You’re going to enjoy an unusual, revolutionary and emotional approach to the multi-layered battles against bosses who you will hate with all your heart and from top to toe. The battles against bosses and worthy opponents are challenging but fair and epically fascinating. They feature the unique gameplay systems and leave a lasting impression with their spectacular design.

- The user interface will adopt a minimalist design, inspired by Ghost of Tsushima. Wherever possible, the entire interface will be presented via the accompanying fellows and entourage so that nothing would distract you from the Berserker’s Path.

- The Berserker uses all of his invaluable experience gained from the hundreds of throne wars and exterminates all flesh that crosses his path. Just like in DOOM series, the enemies will lose their armor, limbs, chunks of flesh, and so will you. The story is as down-to-earth, lifelike and logical as possible, and that’s why all the characters will always be covered in blood and bleeding wounds during the battles. And when around the campfires, you will be filling up your stocks and stanching the bleeding.

12) – SETTING –

The setting turned out to be truly unique, and it can’t be described in a few words, as the world gradually changes and evolves throughout all the chapters. The ruthless World of War will present many surprises that will turn everything upside down and provide you with an unforgettable experience. Together with the key characters, you will gradually explore the new world and uncover all its long-forgotten secrets. The scientists and creators will be changing the world before your eyes throughout the whole saga, defying all laws and paying with their lives. You will have the chance to influence events and play your part in ushering in the era of scientific progress and industrial revolution. You will need to uncover the truth yourself and find out why most of the rulers are so afraid of any advance in science and prefer to live in the dark ages for centuries.

All you need to know at this point is that this is the down-to-earth and logical science fiction featuring the eclipse of the dark ages and on the cusp of the industrial revolution and firearms. There are the ruins of extinct civilizations and secrets of the Infinite War of Worlds everywhere. So many indescribable things have happened over the millennia of wars that it is simply impossible to unearth all the secrets. But you’re able and it’s up to you to expose the millennia-long lies and propaganda and get to the truth. They have deliberately stalled any progress and evolution in the world for centuries, you are to change everything and choose the eventual development path of the Warworld being at breaking point. The ultimate fate of the world and all its inhabitants will depend entirely on your diverging actions.

13) – ELABORATE OPEN WORLD –

The Conqueror will feature its low-profile but elaborate open world, which prioritizes the attention to detail and the highest quality rather than the quantity, clichés, or repetition. If we have to choose between quality and quantity, we will simply make the world less open, similar to the one in Baldur’s Gate 3. Any additional content will be elaborated to a decent quality and will only complement and expand the unique cast of the story. The gamer follows the fascinating storyline but is able to turn off the main path almost at any moment and delve into the stories of the minor characters, which will have a significant impact on the storyline and the key characters’ fates.

Dozens of elaborate side quests have been written, which reveal the Warworld and its complex, deep characters more and more, touch you to the core, and let you experience a full range of emotions. You simply will not want to miss the characters’ additional stories and you will only wish that they don’t end. The finished script will never feature any meaningless or boring additional quests or activities.

14) – PRICE OF UNIQUENESS –

I realized from the very start that I had to give 120%, spend many years and create the really offbeat systems, lore, plot, characters and gameplay to break through a world of clichéd and monotonous projects. That’s why I had to put 6 years of my life into this project and sacrifice a lot to create something really unique and brand-new. But I regret nothing, for I’m willing to help gamers enjoy thrills they will never experience in their lives and revolutionize role-playing games. Video games combine all the arts, and thanks to their undeniable advantages they have long predominated over the entire entertainment industry, but the creators’ consistent efforts can turn role-playing video games into the top art form. Everything, as has always been the case, depends only on us and our willpower. Video games saved my life, and I will consistently seek to unleash their incredible potential.

15) – KEY INSPIRATIONS –

The Conqueror was inspired by the very best creators in the gaming industry.

- The Witcher 3 includes integrated and atmospheric lore, a non-linear and thrilling storyline featuring long-lasting effects, high-quality side quests that reveal the world and its fleshed-out characters, as well as the elaborate relationships and monster hunting that I prize most.

- The release of Baldur’s Gate 3 changed a lot in the industry and let me experience an incredible amount of emotions I had been craving since The Witcher 3 was released but had never gotten from RPGs. Baldur’s Gate 3 will be a reasonable reference in terms of its featuring variability and dozens of additional role-playing systems, staged cutscenes during its witty dialogues and numerous answer options to be chosen in the dialog box. Larian Studios particularly succeeded in competently writing the partners’ storylines and making them truly animated, in having players interact with them and gradually develop close relationships during their travels together. Our aspirations are the same as those of Larian and CD Projekt Red: we seek to ensure that the role-playing systems evoke a wave of emotions, and that each character is a unique and animated personality with their own problems, fears, and aspirations.

- God of War impresses with its cinematic look, ruthless story scenes, bloody battles against bosses, fierce combat system, and brutal kill animations.

- Ghost of Tsushima stuns with its unique visuals, gameplay, crafted practical combat system, and vibrant world featuring lots of small particles and a unique minimalistic interface.

- Red Dead Redemption 2’s deep, emotional and mature storyline deeply affected and inspired me to flesh out the script and all the missions. While you were taking care of the gang in RDR 2, here you’re going to establish a brotherhood and take responsibility for the lives of all your brothers-in-arms, who will become your family. Realistic animations and down-to-earth systems will also link you to the characters and let you live their incredible lives.

- Devil May Cry 5 features one of the best combat systems and the best character theme tunes. DMC and DOOM will have a major influence on the soundtrack, lore, and combat system style.

- The down-to-earth approach to the numerous monsters, bosses and their intimidating designs was inspired by Resident Evil and DOOM.

- As in Dragon’s Dogma 2, there will be plenty of gameplay interactions with monsters and the world.

There are no perfect video games, each one has its pros and cons, but we will keep on giving it our all and seeking our inspiration from the best specimens in the industry only.

Actually, there were many more inspirations. During the process, I constantly thought about game series like Batman: Arkham, Devil May Cry, Mass Effect, Resident Evil, and many other iconic video games. I was inspired only by my favorite games, the best of the best in the industry.

16) – INFLUENCE OF THE WITCHER AND GAME OF THRONES –

The video game world was initially developed while being heavily inspired by two worlds we love most of all, and ours incorporated the best of Witcher 3 and Game of Thrones. I spent six years trying to excel my favorite universes and create something brand-new, off-pattern, fresh, grounded, logical and epic. Thanks to the off-trail Order and Chaos lore, Warworld looks unique and non-standard. Unlike the worlds of my favorite authors, my world is more peculiar, grounded, logical, constantly evolving, and features fleshed-out logical lore. For example, any advanced technology of sophisticated civilizations and democracy is a relic of the past and is outlawed in Warworld. It doesn’t feature any clichéd set of races; all the monsters and creatures are unique, realistic, and matchless upon the game’s release.

The story I wrote is based not on any real story or fairy tales but on a unique idea and all the emotions stirred by and experienced in my most favorite worlds. I didn’t have to follow any clichés or rules of world- and plot-building set by my predecessors, since the ideas of the unique universe and characters had been stored up in me for all my life and were just waiting to be translated into a script. This resulted in an off-pattern, logical, and epic universe based on revolutionary systems and Infinity War of Worlds lore, featuring a unique narrative about the true nature of humankind, epic battles against bosses, the implications of conquests and throne wars, and elaborate, realistic relationships and monster hunting.

17) — KEY DIFFERENCES FROM THE WITCHER AND GAME OF THRONES —

Anticipating comparisons, I would like to outline the key distinctions.

- We have a highly unique sci-fi setting where advanced technology and democracy are relics of the past. All scientists who are on the verge of an industrial revolution and the creation of weapons of mass destruction are targets for assassins from ancient global organizations. But no matter how hard these organizations try to stop progress and evolution, Chaos mutant children continue to be born everywhere, subsequently being turned into bio-bombs and used in throne wars. Chaos children are not permitted to reach adulthood. Scientists push progress forward at the cost of their lives, and your Path of the Conqueror will significantly change the world. In the first act, everything will resemble the realistic Late Middle Ages. But as the story unfolds, you and the characters will discover that this world is far more developed and technological than you could have imagined.

- At the heart of the plot is the development of key characters, who evolve throughout the story and continue to surprise you until the very end. Characters at the beginning of their journey and at the end are different personalities, and their ultimate fate depends solely on you.

- The entire story is built upon a unique, logical, and epic mythology of the “Infinite War of Worlds,” which will be fascinating to uncover throughout the “Order and Chaos” saga.

- The Ruthless Warworld has no cliché magic or miracles. I’m much more interested in writing about evolution, technology, science, mutations, and viruses than in writing about typical magic, which 90% of authors use to patch plot holes and inconsistencies. I’m tired of shallow plots, clichés, self-repetitions, and plot holes, and I want more from new worlds.

- Just like in real life, my characters die forever. Resurrecting characters devalues their journeys and only creates numerous plot holes.

- A well-crafted ending that resolves all storylines and provides definitive closure to the story. Each player will have their distinctive ending depending on how they determine the fate of all the characters and the world.

I’m tired of all the cliché tropes and formulas. That’s why I expect more from plots and games. You can expect a unique perspective on mythology, gods, technology, genetically modified monsters, super-beings, and morally ambiguous characters.

18) — SPIRITUAL SUCCESSOR —

In some sense, The Conqueror will be considered by fans as a spiritual successor to The Witcher 3, as it was developed with the same principles and values at its core. From the very beginning, this legendary role-playing game became the main reference point for the entire RPG system, inspiring the deep development of the storyline, the evolution of relationships, and truly living, breathing characters. Great care was taken to maximize the potential of all role-playing systems, aiming to deliver far more emotions to players than ever before. The plot was crafted to be truly unique and free from clichés, with the most logical and detailed mythology meticulously designed. Years were dedicated to creating the dream game that fans and I had long envisioned. Thanks to new systems, however, this project will surpass even the wildest expectations of fans and earn their respect, which holds immense value for me.

The Witcher 3 became a legend because all its aspects worked seamlessly, complementing each other, and even the weaker moments felt organic within the game’s entirety. Inspired by the principles that underlie The Witcher 3, I focused all my efforts on the main advantages of my favorite video games. While polishing the script, I experienced many shocking moments and got an indescribable surge of emotions. Although I’ve played through my dream game many times during script polishing, I dread to imagine how many more emotions I will receive upon release – from the dynamic gameplay, deeply touching atmospheric music, and multifaceted, adrenaline-pumping combat system.

I expected that after the release of The Witcher 3, a trend for well-developed RPGs would begin, and fans and I would experience many emotions from new games, but with each passing year, I realized that no one would do it. If you want something done, do it yourself. You always have to do everything yourself, and after six years, I’m ready to give players those very indescribable emotions and a unique journey where you and the characters will live an incredible life and experience the whole spectrum of feelings.
