What is Mechanical Technology? Raw Materials, Logistics, Automation. What is Magical Technology? Magic, Attributes, Incantations. Oil and water don’t mix easily, and neither do mechanics and magic. To fuse these two technologies, one must start by breaking them down into even finer parts.

About This Demo

XingHeDeYveYan is a pixel-art 2D top-down tactical RPG. Players can choose and pilot their favorite ships across randomly generated starfields, process collected resources via automated production lines in the carrier’s factory, and use crafted items to upgrade their ships. Alternatively, they can devote effort to honing the power of accompanying spellcasters, combining basic magic words into complete incantations to channel devastating magical forces against enemies through spoken rites. Of course, being a free merchant traveling between different star systems is also a fine choice.

All Kinds of Ships!

The game features three ship types: Fighters, Gunboats, and Frigates. Every ship is randomly generated, with performance varying from combat-oriented to transport-focused—whether it’s obliterating foes with a main cannon or swarming enemies with drone fleets, vastly different capabilities ensure distinct gameplay styles. Generally, smaller ships are more agile, while larger ones are slower but pack heavier firepower and tougher defenses.

Each star system offers different ships, so finding the perfect vessel may be a long journey.

Automated Factories with Logistics Pods!

Microgravity industrial environments can’t use traditional conveyor belts, giving rise to a new automated manufacturing system reliant on drones and logistics pods. With seven types of specialized logistics pods, automated production lines in microgravity factories demonstrate the formidable power of mechanical technology, processing eight types of mineral resources into finished products for ships and habitats.

Spellcraft Starting with Words!

Spellcasters from another world can still wield incredible magic in this one. They assemble incantations from lexical components with basic functions—channeling energy into the spell, imbuing it with attributes, shaping magical energy into projectiles, and launching them at distant targets. The precise sequence is key to effective spellcasting. Just like speech, incoherent or self-contradictory phrases are meaningless.

As for the numerical limits in spell structures… doesn’t that feel vaguely familiar? Or is it just déjà vu?

Galaxy-Spanning Logistics Networks!

Most habitats have their own industries, requiring specific raw materials and selling produced goods. Some products are raw materials for further manufacturing, while others are equipment for ship modules. Transporting goods to where they’re needed is the logistics system that all mechanical civilizations rely on—always in demand, always profitable.

Future Updates

The game is planned to launch in Early Access, with gradual updates adding more content—such as non-human cosmic entities and hostile machine intelligences, partial custom ship module modifications, player-owned habitats and their construction, technological upgrades for habitats and carriers, faction flagship-class capital ships as enemies, full carrier customization and player-driven shipbuilding, new ship modules integrating magical technology, new magic words inspired by mechanical technology, mysterious facilities hidden in deep space, and that elusive entity shrouded in rumors, hard to distinguish between truth and fiction, Shadow of Generation.

Some of these elements may also appear in the demo, though not necessarily in the order listed above, and there may be even more in store. Stay tuned!
