Why Early Access?

“We have always wanted to make an expansive, ever growing universe for would-be starship Captains to explore, and Star Command Galaxies is that platform.

From day one, Galaxies has been concieved as not just a port of our mobile game but an experience that we could fully support. Our goal is to use community feedback to address gameplay issues and release regular updates that add in new content, races, ships and missions. Our early focus is on combat and balance (our core mechanic), followed by planets, and then diplomacy and end game scenarios.

We will be releasing our free mod tool SCIENCE (Star Command Isometric Enhanced New Creation Editor) to our community and leverage full support of Steam Workshop.

Our vision is to support Star Command Galaxies for the weeks, months and years ahead. We hope that you join us and help us make the game the best Starship simulator ever!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We anticpate that we will be bug fixing, adding content and new features once a year for at least the next six years. After that we will see the current status of the game and, depending on your satisfaction with the product, continue to add new content or move the game into full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Star Command Galaxies will feature a strong core combat engine, as well as tons of new ship hulls, missions, weapons, equipment and other fun surprises. We look at Star Command Galaxies as a platform and not just a game to be released and forgotten.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We are in the FINAL phase of testing.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The final price for the game is still being decided, but could increase with added features and content by release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

Alpha 8 Released

We have released Star Command Galaxies Alpha 8 and it is by far our best release yet. So what’s new? What’s the focus? Bugs of course! This update has more bug fixes than all of our other releases combined. We spent all month just going through and fixing up crashes, save bugs, quirks and weird stuff that was happening in the game. TO BE CLEAR there are likely some bugs left and some new ones we made along the way but the game should be MUCH more stable and a lot more fun.

Derelict vessels, rebel raiders, undead cosmonaut space zombies – a gaggle of enemies await in this isometric strategy starship simulation game.

Starting from humble beginnings as a lowly Star Command janitor, you will rise to the challenge as a new galactic menace has arisen threatening the galaxy. It is up to you and your stalwart crew to save the galaxy, in the sequel to the mobile Starship simulator Star Command™.
