What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“What the game currently includes

The current version contains the foundation of the city-building experience. You can lay roads, build houses, manage walkers, distribute food, supply water, place firewatch posts, handle basic hazards, and expand your settlement along the Nile. The game already supports construction, destruction, terrain flattening, and core resource movement. Early versions of farming, storage, and simple services are also present.

What we plan to add during Early Access

During Early Access we plan to continue expanding major systems and refining the game based on community feedback. The current development plans include exploring additions such as:

- Full farming and irrigation systems
- Religion with temples, shrines, festivals, and god effects
- Military with training
- Trade routes with import and export logic
- Multiple Monument construction with multi stage building phases
- More walkers, jobs, and service buildings
- Additional hazards like collapse, shortages, and structural wear
- Deeper industry chains for pottery, papyrus, and luxury goods
- Housing evolution with higher tiers and more complex needs
- Optimization, quality of life, and UI improvements

These plans may evolve as we receive feedback from players.

How the community will be involved

We plan to work closely with the community throughout Early Access. Feedback from Discord and Steam discussions will help influence development priorities, highlight issues, and shape the direction of future updates.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The plan is to keep the game in Early Access until it reaches the full set of core systems. The current estimate is that the game will remain in Early Access until around 2027, which matches the planned release window on the store page. This timeline may shift based on player feedback and the amount of content the community wants, but the goal is a complete and polished experience by that period.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The intention for the full version is to expand the scope of the game and include more of the systems that define a complete ancient Egyptian city building experience. During Early Access the focus will be on building a strong core loop. For the eventual full release, we plan to add more depth, more features, and more variety across all major areas of the game.

The following additions are planned as the project grows:

- More farming systems with irrigation, crop variety, and seasonal behavior
- A broader religion system with temples, shrines, blessings, curses, and festivals
- Expanded military features such as training, patrols, and city defense
- Trade routes with import, export, and connections to multiple settlements
- Monument construction with multi stage building progress and large projects
- Additional industries such as pottery, papyrus, bricks, and luxury goods
- More walkers, jobs, and service buildings
- Housing evolution with higher tiers and more citizen needs
- Additional hazards and city management challenges
- Extra maps or scenarios that increase replay value

Ongoing improvements to performance, quality of life, and UI

A more complete audio and visual presentation as development continues

These plans may change over time based on player feedback, technical considerations, and the direction that feels right for the game. The goal is to grow the project naturally and keep the community involved as it develops.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version contains the basic foundation of the city building experience. You can place roads, build houses, manage walkers, and expand your settlement along the Nile. Core systems such as water delivery, food distribution, fire prevention, terrain flattening, and basic storage are already functioning. Citizens move through the city, take jobs, and support the early stages of your settlement.

The current version is focused on establishing reliable construction, resource flow, and early services so players can get a feel for how the city forms and operates. As development continues, we plan to expand systems and add depth based on player feedback. The direction of future updates may shift depending on what the community finds most valuable.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The current plan is to keep the price consistent during Early Access while the core systems are still taking shape. As the game grows in scope and receives more content and features, we may adjust the price later to reflect the development that happens over time. Any changes would be made gradually and with advance notice so players understand what to expect.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community will play an active role throughout Early Access. Players can share feedback, report issues, and request features through the Steam discussions and the official Discord server. This input will help guide development priorities, balance changes, and quality of life improvements. The plan is to release updates, gather reactions, and use that information to decide which systems should be expanded next.”
