Deadfuel is a solo arcade top-down roguelike zombie shooter.

THE STORY

You play as an old man, alone in his cabin far from anything. You don't know how long you can still survive here. But one night, you hear on the radio a call from a military base 1,000 km away, evacuating the last survivors of the continent to Greenland. It's your last chance, so you hop in your old fuel-leaking car and drive.

THE GAMEPLAY

Alone in that devastated land, your only hope to reach the military base is to stop at every outpost along the road to gather fuel and find equipment. Every stop is a challenge, fight through hordes of zombies to find crates. Loot given by those crates us random : weapons, consumables, ammo, and possibly the fuel you need to keep moving forward.

Face 7 different types of zombies, each with their own behavior and threat level. As you progress through the 20 outposts that separate you from the military base, the challenges intensify : more zombies, deadlier variants, but also better equipment to find. Manage your limited inventory space carefully and decide what to bring with you for the next stop.

Survival isn't just about firepower. Every hit you take reduces your health and increases your infection level, permanently lowering your maximum health. Find and use medicine to reduce infection before it's too late. One wrong move, one risk too many, and your run ends with a final score before returning to the main menu.

More than 40 unique items can be found throughout the game, each with its own distinct effect. Each run offers new strategies and challenges, taking approximately 30 minutes to an hour to complete. There is no permanent progression between runs. Only your knowledge, experience, and skill will help you reach further. Along the way, you may also uncover hidden secrets that reward skill and curiosity.
