What is Star Catcher?

We are The Fallow. A herbivorous and peaceful people. We have a duty: to be stewards of this sea and to free the souls lost within it. They are the scattered star-lights in the sea and the sky. We free the souls by guiding them and offering passage to the gate at the centre of our world.

Fish for Lost Souls!

Fish up lost souls by casting your rod into the sea of stars. The types of souls you catch and how you catch them are impacted by the parts of your rod that you have unlocked and equipped - as well as where you choose to fish. When a soul is guided to your lure, complete a fun fishing minigame to collect them.

Explore an Archipelago Lost to Time

Sail between islands on your own boat, and search on foot for new souls to catch, lore to unravel, and discoveries to uncover. New paths will unlock for you as you release more souls, and you might find unique hidden areas by keeping a keen eye out on your journey.

Relax in a Social Space Built Around Fishing

Star Catcher is designed as a peaceful experience to enjoy alone or share with friends! Text chat, emotes, and diagetic in-world fishing lets you watch each other fish and celebrate your catches in the same space.

Build A Reputation 

Increase your reputation among other Fallow by gifting them your Pearls. Fallow may offer you new fishing gear, furniture, information and customisation options as you improve your relations with them and grow closer, together.

Grow the World Alongside You

Release the souls you catch at the Soul Gate in order to receive pearls. As you release more souls to the gates, your environment will change. Then, you'll gain access to new areas, new NPC's and new souls. You'll be able to gift your pearls to NPC's you find along the way.

Customise Your Appearance!

Express yourself by fully customising your playthrough! Alter your character appearance or ship by unlocking and equipping different skin or clothing options; then build and customise your own personal room within the ship by collecting different furniture items!
