Mukuro no Rasen is a Japanese dark fantasy rogue-lite action game with one-stick, one-button controls. The player gains power with each death, opening up new paths to confront their cursed destiny!

STORY

It is the time of the warring states. Demons rise from beneath the earth, invading a castle and the surrounding town, transforming them into a warped, monstrous fortress.

In order to save his captured master, the ninja Rasen makes a pact with a malevolent force and bargains away his mortal soul to obtain power beyond that of any ordinary man.

However, that power is a curse. Unless Rasen continues to consume the dregs of the souls of demons and people who have lost their humanity, he cannot remain in the mortal world. To survive his pact, he must eventually turn his blade against even those who were once his allies.

Can Rasen fulfill his duty to his master with his tainted power? Caught between fealty and a cursed fate, Rasen's lonely struggle begins.

GAME CONTENT

The player must ascend the walls of a tower, and confront the demon lord that awaits at the top. Unique gimmicks enable rapid movement: Jump Zones allow you to travel great distances in a single bound; Flip Zones let you rapidly phase through platforms. Automated attacking allows you to focus on strategic positioning, moving around the tower surfaces in all directions as you enjoy high-speed, stylish action!

In addition, players can use the gold and silver they find to buy permanent equipment improvements and a range of different arcane techniques on each run. With repeated play and new equipment, foes that once seemed unbreakable will eventually fall before your might!

Mukuro no Rasen is brought to you by Kohji Kenjoh, a director with a long history of idiosyncratic action games such as the Custom Robo series.
