What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The final objective of MachineCraft is, "Be able to create anything you can ever imagine and use them for various purposes".
And more specifically, be able to:
- Recreate the form and movement of a variety of vehicles, robots, animals and even human in detail
- Creation of stages based on nature, town, space-carrier, and more.
- Choose between game modes such as fighting, racing, and arcade.
These are not able to be achieved in a short period, and still require improvements after the playable version is released.
Therefore, I must plan about development in a long-term perspective, and support of the cooperative players is indispensable.
I considered that EarlyAccess is the best opportunity to achieve my goal.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Until January 2018.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will contain many more game-modes and stage-gimmicks.
And will have better graphics, sounds and motion.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Program on building a machine has completed about 80%.
Program on creating a stage has completed about 50%, but may rewrite all.
Program on the Multiplayer has completed about 30%.
Nothing has been decided with respect to single play.
All resources(models, textures, sounds) are temporary state.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“This game is free-to-play even after it was finished.
However, the price of DLC is planned to rise at the time of alpha test completion.
The DLC will include some special decorative parts, and unlimited access to the server.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Currently I am receiving reports and suggestions from japanese testers in BBS (http://hayabusa6.2ch.net/gameama/).
I am going to seek feedback from players on the steam forum for advancing the development of alpha phase.
I will continue to update once a week and respond quickly to any problems or demands, and hopefully gain tips from the contents generated by users in the SteamWorkshop.”

About This Game

OVERVIEW

The main purpose of this game is showing and watching machines made out of blocks.
Some of the game-modes allow you to battle or race against other players. (testing phase)
You can create your original machine with ease by reassembling those machines that are distributed,
or by using the automatic control block.

CRAFT

By using plastic chassis and functional parts, you can make a variety of shapes and movements,
such as standard machines(cars, bikes, tanks, airplanes, helicopters, ships), as well as
unique machines (transformation-robots, arm-cranes, animals, plants, meals).
Additionally, you can place boxes of any size to make a simple stage.

MULTIPLAY

You have the freedom to make a room and set the rules as you want, and maximum of 30 people can join.
Currently lounging around is the mainstream, but I am aiming at enhanced competition in the future.
My goal is to make this game into a place where people can feel free to make their room in their own rules without serious conflict.
