You built an island to thrive, but the seas beyond are full of danger. So you struck a deal with a dragon: twenty years of protection in exchange for twenty years of dinner service. Keep it fed, keep it friendly… and maybe, just maybe, survive the contract.

Your island thrives under the dragon’s watchful eye, as long as you keep the meals coming.

Dragon Fodder is a cozy-chaotic tabletop roguelike about dice, dragons, and 20 years of increasingly desperate cooking. Roll for ingredients, stack absurd combos, and hope your next meal isn’t your last.

Each run is a mix of planning, luck, and mild panic. The dragon’s hunger grows every year, and your dice are the only thing standing between prosperity and smoke.

• Build new farmsteads, shrines, and harbors on your hex-grid island. Each one changes how your board behaves, stacking yields, bonuses, and adjacency effects.

• Roll your dice to activate matching tiles. Every number you roll determines which farms produce and which ones sit idle.

• Harvest what you can. No matching tile? Tough luck. The dragon doesn’t eat excuses.

• Cook meals by combining ingredients into recipes that add flavor and essence to your base fodder score — creating absurdly satisfying multipliers.

• Feed the dragon. Meet its hunger, and you move into the next year with new tools and upgrades. Fall short, and you burn another season trying to claw your way back.

The fewer seasons you need, the greater your prosperity, but each new year turns up the heat, with harsher odds, hungrier dragons, and the occasional tantrum that leaves your board in ruins.
